The point of the protector is to absorb the energy of the imapct and disperse it evenly so the shock doesnt transfer i to the screen. If the protector didnt break, the energy from the fall would be mostly transferred into the screen which would likely break the screen and cost hundreds to fix instead of just $8 for a new protector.
The reason why they break is because they absorb all the impact before it get to the screen. Like motorcycle helmets. But why didn't you hit the other one
Great point. And here's a very genuine answer: Now think about it like this, $8 helmet, that breaks too easily and let's say your head is fine but now you need a replacement vs $11 helmet ,same impact but it doesn't break in the same instance and your head is still fine. Or, $8 helmet that broke, you got scratches or even more damage on your head vs, $11 helmet same impact, but it didn't break so no damage anywhere else. Many consumers have a wrong misconception of how easily these screen protectors should break because they've been using bad ones and never used a proper one
@@magicjohnofficial bruh your head won't be fine with a helmet that doesn't break because if the helmet don't break the impact gon find the next soft thing to apply all that force to, which will probably be your head, you know how dangerous that is? it is nice but 8$ garbage is meant to break so that it can reduce some force in breaking a strong unbreakable screen would just conduct all force to screen so there are more chances of cracks THE PHYSICS MAKES SENSE
Or you get a proper one that doesn't break so often and protects your screen properly, so you can actually save both money and time. Hmm so hard to decide which one makes more sense
Those glass protectors still protect your screen better than the plastic film. All the features yoi mentioned can be have on the glass ones as well and won't start scratching from the next day.
Nah that def has a hydrophobic coating on it. Glass doesnt absorb water but water def sticks to it. The water he put on the phone didnt stick, it rolled around like when you drop water on a super hot pan. Its still unnecessary, but hydrophobic and non absorbant are 2 different things
Well... those screen protectors are 1. protecting from scratches, not blunt force 2. Supposed to have a backing that supports them 3. supposed to break so your screen does not and you did not show your own product abused tge same way...
the screen guards are supposed to break so they can absorb the shock. if it doesnt break and and a lot of force then it will transfer to the real screen of the phone and break.
Those protectors weren't meant to protect themselves, they're meant to protect the phone. Since phones don't bend that way, there was no reason for you to slap the protectors against the edge of the table. 🤦♂️
@@magicjohnofficial Wear the same stuff? What restaurants have you been to my boy 😂 what restaurant has chefs and servants wearing a full-on PPE suit😂 And actually I do, BECAUSE I am not buying the product anyways.
Tips how to not break your screen. 1. Buy any tempered glass screen protector according to your phone. 2. Buy good hydrogel screen protector according to your phone. 3. Buy any softcase/hardcase according to your phone (i prefer softcase so it absorb more impact and it's cheaper than hardcase). 4. Install hydrogel screen protector. 5. Install tempered glass protector. 6. Install softcase/hardcase. Why 2 type of screen protector? Because most of the time tempered glass can't absorb all impact which makes your screen get the remaining impact. By using hydrogel in the middle, it can absorb the remaining impact. But hydrogel didn't last from scratch or it can but will takes times and it's more expensive than tempered glass. So you just need to buy new tempered glass later. I've been using this technique after changing 3 lcd+touchscreen of my phone. Cheaper than changing the whole screen. Now i never break my phone screen again for the last 2 years.

"Hey bro i dropped your phone on a rock"
"Don't worry it has the best screen protector on"
"Yeah bro i know it's the only thing that survived"
The point of the protector is to absorb the energy of the imapct and disperse it evenly so the shock doesnt transfer i to the screen. If the protector didnt break, the energy from the fall would be mostly transferred into the screen which would likely break the screen and cost hundreds to fix instead of just $8 for a new protector.
Thank you finally someone said it

why is everyone repeating this over and over in the comments?
How come he never bashed the screen protector he's promoting???

Эйнштейн говорил, повторять одно и тоже действие и надеяться получить другой результат - это безумие.
Look it up bro.
And I've been using the ones that break and my screen is fine, always been. But still I didn't see if yours don't break because you didn't attempt to break it in the video
@magicjohnofficial helmets that do not break are helmets that would crush your head still u didn't answer the question when are you gonna show whether your screen protector breaks on table

it is nice but
8$ garbage is meant to break so that it can reduce some force in breaking
a strong unbreakable screen would just conduct all force to screen so there are more chances of cracks

It ain't plastic
He didnt listened in physics class its helping against scratches and correct me if i am wrong it is supposed to break so it absorbs the force
@@S87260 you're right. Helmets work on the same principle. If it didnt break your skull would be absorbing the shock/force.
"Hydrophobic" dude said that with 0 hesitation like any other glass will absorb water😂
Nah that def has a hydrophobic coating on it. Glass doesnt absorb water but water def sticks to it. The water he put on the phone didnt stick, it rolled around like when you drop water on a super hot pan.

Screen Protectors are meant to absorb the force, if it breaks then it does not matter as long as the screen does not.
the screen guards are supposed to break so they can absorb the shock. if it doesnt break and and a lot of force then it will transfer to the real screen of the phone and break.

“Garbage for eight dollars-“ buddy, your screen protector isn’t garbage but your price for them certainly is
I know there is a part 2, but if you can't condense the ad to a single short, you get these replies. Also, the idea of those protectors is to prevent scratches, 8$ is easy to replace instead of the screen. Anything that would break the protector like the banging against the table would probably also break the screen bellow. You'll convince me if you put your protector on the phone, and then bang the phone like you did the first 3 protectors.
Screen protectors don't protect your screen from cracking. Whatever can break the glass in your phone will also break the screen protector. Screen protectors protect against scratches. Can't believe that after having smartphones for all this time, people still haven't figured that out.
