    As PM your judgement, integrity and honour should be beyond reproach especially after laying out the moral high ground. Starmer is simply not worthy of his position as our leader, our guru, our man of the people. He's just a grubby chancer, a spiv you wouldn't want to buy a second hand car off.

    As a Parish Councillor for thirty five years, it is VERY VERY clear that receiving any gratuity is against the rules. Surely individual gifts to politicians should be absolutely a no no.

    Why is the Lord Ali buying underwear and dresses for 2 tiers wife being ignored? What man would allow another man, regardless of his preferences, buy underwear for his wife? And his wife allowed & accepted it, sorry if it was my wife more than questions would be asked

      Perhaps it was part of the price for her appearing smiling beside Starmer. What else did they pay her?

      I wouldn't be surprised if Starmer pimped her out to Lord Alli.
      In fact, I'd be more surprised if he didn't.

    No money in opposition? No of course not, you only have the generous MP salary, all expenses paid and your political party's money, absolutely nothing at all that.

    How can it be right for so many members of the cabinet to be in debt to one man. Any honest person shouldn’t need rules and principles to differentiate between right and wrong. Through their actions the cabinet have shown they’re in this for themselves not for public service.

    There is a massive difference between attending events as part of one's job and taking things purely for personal use and pleasure - which seems to be something Labour politicians in particular are very fond of doing.

    For a long time I've argued that, just because I disagree with them, it doesn't mean our rulers are stupid. This lot though, I'm beginning to wonder... they actually do seem not only thick but unprincipled and treacherous with it.

    Politicians will always find an excuse to justify why they had to do what they did... I knew Liebour would blow it but dam I never thought it would be this fast. And yes the Tories did the same but it's the Hypocrisy of Two Tier Kier that makes this worse.... If you're going to stand at the top of your Ivory Tower you really should make sure the foundations are solid!

    There is a simple solution to all of this - no MP from any party should directly accept 'gifts' of any nature. Once you accept a gift, you are in the pocket of the doner. At some point in the future, they will want something back in return. The only acceptable gift should be a donation directly to a political party fund, vetted and approved by an independent panel before it is deposited. The amounts do not have to be disclosed, but the integrity of the donor will have been checked.
    There needs be a full review of these donations, where and from whom they are coming from and going to. There also needs to be a review on party's, groups and MP's that are 'funded' to lobby. If there is any direct or indirect link to an commercial organisation or individual, this should be blocked.
    Our government is there to look after the best interests of its people and its country - not what's in the interest of particular individuals, MP's or organisations. Stop the payment of these 'legitimised' bribes.

    • @rainbow-shine6946
      @rainbow-shine6946 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Other than a reasonable donation to the party - it should be a NO to individuals ! They have other benefits already - besides being well paid … Otherwise they will be seen to be taking liberties !

    Interesting, I can't even buy my public sector clients a cup of tea without them getting twitchy. Nor can I invite them to industry events. Im limited in how I can treat my staff through events otherwise they will get taxed more. Yet our esteemed leadership can take thousands, no doubt not declaring it as income. Just bloody ridiculous.

    There are strict rules in Business so this does not have to dive into "the difficult to do box", Starmer wants clarity 🤣thats a good one 'top lawyer don't you know' and he does know because he keeps telling us!!!
    Being a, top, lawyer he could have sought counsel if his moral compass was not working on the day, bit of a bugger when that happens🤣. He's used to expenses as previously, top job in the CPS, headed it up you know - so does he as he also keeps telling us and I believe in his tenure there he clocked up over £500k travel & hospitality! So maybe thats how they roll! Either way it's tax payers money and this is not comparable with Business, that as we know is bad, very bad - how do we know Starmer tells us it is!! Not very good with truth, facts, reality this Labour Party is it?
