      Maybe I can help you trouble shoot it. Hit me up on my Instagram DM same handle @patthesoundguy and if you send me some pictures of the speaker I'll be able to give you an idea where to start

    My box keeps homing and blowing fuse

      I'm very sorry to hear that 😞 I would start by looking over the circuit boards for something that may be burnt. It's possible that a component has failed, and you can often find it just by looking. Now it may be something you might have to take to a shop but who knows it could just be something you can find and fix yourself

    Well wtf is the setting on the multimeter...us girls wanna know please

    • @patthesoundguy
      @patthesoundguy  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That setting on the meter(sorry I wasn't as clear as I should have been) is the OHM setting. That's for checking resistance or continuity. I'm not sure how familar you are with a multimeter. Continuity is the setting to check if somthing makes a complete circuit. There is a coil of wire inside the speaker(again not sure how familiar you are with the inside of a speaker as well) and I was checking to see if it had a break. I really can see where I could improve this video because of your comment. Please check out this video th-cam.com/video/HKM8ePLuiB4/w-d-xo.html where I repair a similar speaker but the highs went out instead of the lows. And will make a video coming up about the speaker in that link in a couple of weeks that goes more into the use of the meter and what the inside of the speaker looks like because I have to repair the speaker again in the bar and I'm waiting on parts. I apreciate the feedback and also apreciate the sub and I am working to improve my videos with better planning and some better gear. I would love to know what kinds of videos you would like to see from me in the future as well.

      What's funny is I just tossed that woofer in the garbage on Monday. Had I known I would have kept it and cut it open to show the insides of it. There is a great idea for a new video. Look out for that one soon.

      @@patthesoundguy had you carefully removed the dust cap, chances are good you`d have easily found the break where the faulty lead wire was soldered onto the tail end of the voice coil wire.

      @patthesoundguy  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@johnb9187 I checked the leads and the coil was itself was open, for a $50 woofer I'm not going spend that much more time where the new woofer is that cheap. It wasn't worth it where that's not my own speaker it belongs to a bar.
