Guitars that sound like keyboards, bass that sound like guitars, drums that sound in like three different time signatures at the same time... Damn, Scale the Summit really has it all, isn't it?
Now, THIS is the bass tome I'm looking for. I have a Manne malibu 4 strings with 2 single coils...do you have some pickups that will fit and achieve this tone?
+ChristianIce Emg's are alright but they get muddy in the low end without really good equipment and mixing. Thats just been my experience with them, but they still sound good for the most part.

Darq I've seen them live a handful of times. They always seem to open for the bands I go out of my way to see. It's pretty atmospheric when you see them so it's not always about the energy, but they put on a great live show.
Ok, then why PRECISELY are you watching a performance of a band with a very narrow fanbase, which is primarily known for their unique approach to FINGERTAPPING? That's like visiting a steakhouse in a dark sideway and complaining about being served meat.
1:48-2:12 the bass line that will forever be imprinted in my brain.
That has to be the most beautiful instrument ever created.
Mark as well as his band are so under appreciated cant wait for scale the summits next album.

A band having a sick bassist is the difference between mediocrity and greatness. Needless to say, this is great!
Scale the summit liked one of my guitar cover videos I put up on Insta a while back. Never felt so happy in my life! Love these guys.
1:53 - 2:11 gorgeous section
sexy350Zowner i agree with you
Still, the song that makes me fall in love with my Warwick Corvette 6string all over again!
Killer technique and soul to say the least............Wow I am still blown away!!!! \m/ \m/
damn thats a sweet tone. warm but also enough treble to punch through clean. that intro especially though. now thats how bass n drums lock solid.
From one Mark M to another, really nice and elegant lines here! thanks for sharing.
Seriously one of the most amazing looking basses. That illuminated 12th fret marker...
2:57 is just awesome
Excellent band, bassist, and tone!
Awesome job Mark....
Still the best bass player StS had. Such a loss.
Although Nathan Navarro made an appearance on their latest... they should enlist him if he's willing. He's incredible.
Killian was just on tour with them, while he is a great player, I agree that Mark had that bit of something special while with sts.
@@knappymer I think Killian fits in well with the sound on the most recent album, but for the older sound Mark was the best.
Mark was the best indeed but we can't sleep on Jordan Eberhardt or Killian Duarte. All of them are really good in their own right
I love the strum/tappy part
Love this kinda music
powerful song! amazing!
nice execution groove!
very very good sound
bass Warwick + pickup EMG + ampli Hartke
and very nice tune, I'm not an HeavyMetal fan, but this track is very fine

+ChristianIce hai proprio dei gusti musicali di merda, ti trovo ovunque
*****
Si vede che condividiamo gli stessi orribili gusti musicali :D
+ChristianIce Some tight compression is essential to get anywhere near this tone.
I wanna float on life as happily as those two low strings 😇
Holy shit! This deserves so many more views and likes.
Bravo for that bass, nice bass
very good bass / ampli / pickups
fantastic sound
waouh !! nice playing !!
that bass looks delicious... like cookie dough
Or a ripe bananna
Should have far more views and far more likes.
This was pretty awesome.
Damn - totally inspirational!
very good bass player too
Perfecto!!!
nice playing nice tone i really like that bass
he is the one
Nice
I hear alot of Minus the Bear in these guys, great stuff
This inspired me to play a 6 string Bass
Does anyone know the reason behind his leaving s.t.s.? ...he was GREAT with them..
I believe Chris Letchford didn’t pay any of his Mark Michell-era bandmates, so they all left StS at once.
@@RookieComment 😮wow
That's a sweet bass. I would love a Warwick but I don't have that kind of money.
MUITO TOP O SOM DESSE BAIXO
I dont know why but I Love the sounds Of this Bass Better
Never heard of em... But that's a nice tone
The beginning sound like Midnight of Joe Satriani...
Hello! Amazing sound! Could you tell me please in what position the pickups are?

Active electronics for the bass is the way to go always !

Beautiful bass, good tone but zero goddamn energy. Don't know what they're like live though.

Darq if you want guys that constantly whip their heads like epileptics go watch thrash metal
+probassistNOT Or Monuments live. They weren't bad. Too much show though, not enough groove.
im so goddamn tired of having to hear fingertapping

your bitching about a technique used in a song. congrats, your a douche
Wooow man you nailed it!
