I love the way you talk about vinyl! I started a couple of months ago playing vinyl. After many years of clubbing, I decided to learn how playing techno in is purest form: vinyl. Thanks Adiel for sharing your skills!
I knew you are a real one. This interview just confirmed it. Four-five hours a day, every day - that hit home. Until you became perfect. And it's all about the mixing!!! TY! That's what's up. And keep it up!
nicely explained, I like the idea with the reverb nice and when I used to DJ I would sort my records out tune by tune after I practice my set at home so ill know what I am going to play in the club so yeah the record bag is important
I disagree in a way. If you're using reverb on long blends you should really be taking the low end out, otherwise it muddies the mix a bit too much. Other than that I enjoyed her blends :).
Great to see someone mixing on vinyl but I think blending the records in and out like this woud only work with techno as it’s got a more repetitive beat. This would be impossible on for doing with house or trance records. Good video makes a refreshing change from beat matching on cdjs.
@@DJWenlowe It really doesn't. I own a 96 and with house or disco or Italo records you'd be using the HPFs on a 96 and being more subtle with adjustments in the low end, rather than EQing. Using just the EQs with techno like this works so much better, as you're playing with the suspense and release in a more impactful way.
Honestly, i would absolutely love to have access to a Club when it is closed to just practice in so i could crank the volume a bit and not have my whole Street crying at me :)
OMG THIS ISN'T DJING! Where is the computer, why is everything plugged in, what does she have headphones on!!!! Props to her. Also, I have those same Ortofons. I think if it's the same ones, it's the grandmaster flash ones?
