Normally you have a moving power valve which is closed when you're in low rpm and open when in high rpm. I have a non moving powervalve which was permanently closed which means it had more power in low rpm but less power in high rpm. I milled the powervalve so it is permanently open and has full power in high rpm with a bit less power in low rpm
@@2strokerides oh i see, very clever! What is did is connect my power valve to my on/off switch so i can manually open or close the valve, works great and still have power at lower rpm

Awesome work bringing back a legend of a bike Next time go to a graphic design store with the parts let them redesign the stickers the take the parts down to the paint throw black then put your new stickers clear coat and you’ll have a sexy new paint job
Thanks!! Aftermarket sticker kits are still being made so I could have bought a new set but I only needed a few stickers. Would've been a waste of money. Thats why i decided to tape them over. I could have made them custom like you suggested. Didnt think of that. Thanks👍🏻

Hi pal just a question, I’m having an issue where my rev counter is quite jumpy do you know what could be the problem? It doesn’t affect the running of the bike it’s just not smooth even when you open the throttle it bounces about a bit thanks
its a bad conector on the back of the instrument cluster. Pull it out, clean it up and use electrical protection spray. With a very small flathead screwdriver you can gently squeeze the pins together to make a better contact. Havent found any replacement connector tho so be patient
Nice job fixing the bike. But i have a question. Do you know if these bikes have something in the expansion chamber like a CAT or something that could be removed for performance? Bc my fuel consumption is in the absolute bin and would like to know if the previous owner has tampered with it.
Depends on the year of the bike and if it was a 11kW model or a full power model. Some models had something in the exhaust. Your best bet is to just buy a aftermarket exhaust.
@@2strokerides not really looking to spend 300 on a new exhaust and would that even fix anything since a "performance" oriented exhaust wouldnt have fuel economy as an important atribute
I miss my Yamaha 125 TZR 😢 great upload
Nice job! But im a little bit confused about the power valve... Why did you mill it and how is milling it giving it more power?
