In this tutorial, I demonstrate the ten steps you should do in Lightroom to create a fantastic black and white image.
The ten steps that I demo are:
    1.) Tone
    2.) Profile
    3.) Noise Reduction
    4.) White Balance
    5.) Black & White Mix
    6.) Presence
    7.) Calibration
    8.) Local Adjustments
    9.) Sharpening
    10.) Effects

Thanks so much for creating this video. Not only was it the help I needed to improve my B&W processing but it also gave me some new insight on how to look for potential B&W photo subjects.

Thanks, now I would love to see a video showing photos that are much much better in B&W. Yeah, B&W is nice sometimes, but most of the time I don't even think B&W.

great info - been using LR for years and while many of your steps are something I already do ... the points about profile and calibrations ... I was unaware of. I never come away from your videos w/o learning something NEW . Thank you.

Off to Yosemite now Anthony. Would love to see a Zone preset in there. Really lovely. Thanks Anthony. I've just digitised some B&W negatives I took interest 70s that I'll play around with soon. Your tips will certainly come in handy. Thank you once again.

    Merry Christmas Anthony
Been a long time subscriber and always learn something new from your videos. I’m very interested Ed ted in learning low key black and white processing and hoping you can do a tutorial on that please.
I have some images sourced from other photographers that I can share if you’d like

Anthony, could you please make a video on the Calibration tab, explaining a little more in detail, what exactly is going on when you move those sliders? Many videos say just move the sliders and see what happens, but I like to understand a little better, what is exactly impacted and why. This option seems not to be in the Lightroom, just in the Classic version. Why? Many thanks.

Outstanding video. As always, you did not promote yourself. I purchased your presets a while ago. You prepared 25 black and white presets that out shine to one’s that come with Lightroom. For your viewers, check out his presets.

Anthony...when using Gigapixel AI, would these steps be taken before sending the image to Gig Ai....or after?

Is it important to do these edits in the specific order you have specified? If it is can you please explain why. Another great tutorial btw.

    Why tone the colour image?
To me I would apply B&W profile first so your adjusting B&W image.
    1.profile
    2.calibration
    3.Tone
    4. B & W - Colour Luminosity Sliders
    Then the rest…,

@@AnthonyMorganti Anthony you take the stress out of Adobe products. Excellent content and a soothing presentation. Easy to understand graphics and examples. I used to dread using Lightroom and PS and could not keep up with the changes. Thanks.
