Wait.. I have seen the progress on this road just recently. Extremely slow. The part which is tarred is not even half the distance of the total project (Henties-Uis). In the news it says that the project is budgeted at N$1 billion. N$700mil has already been exhausted for a portion that’s not even half the total distance. Guys, where is the sense in this?
Yes the tarred part open to traffic is 40km while the other unopen tarred part is 15km. In total it's 42km is left. However the budget allocated for this project this year is 150 million only to enable the current phase up to 65km to be completed by year end. They still need another 300 million for the last phase of 36km. Basically 10km is costing 100 million @5-7 million per kilometre. Government is allocating little funds to this project that's why it's taking long. They shud have completed this project 4 years ago.
