Could this be done with UV resin so it doesn’t take 3 days to cure? Can any other paint be used other than lacquer? Such as acrylic?

Yes, you can use UV resin.
However, you can’t use acrylic paint, as it may mix with the resin. Instead, consider using nail colours, which doesn’t mix with resin once fully dried.

Thank you! I have skeleton leaves that I did 2 weeksa ago from your tutorial and they are clear now. How long should I wait until they are dry before putting them into resin?

Put them in a book for two three days and apply two layers of lacquer to avoid air bubbles.
After put them into resin use safty pin or pointed thing to remove air bubbles before the resin hardened.
