To your theory of one of the Assembly members being Trent? Mark Strong is credited as the Assembly Wizard, and do you think they'd bring him in for a small, unnamed part? And THEN if you search IMDB for his entry, yes, that wizard is named. Mighty Nein foreshadowing unlocked!!
In the earlier Vorugal fight, when Allura complained that his weapon was too loud, Percy said, "Not everyone can shoot magic out of their fingers!" There's the foreshadowed equivalency of the firearms and magic. I don't think we knew anything about Ripley's backstory, but I'm sure Matt had some ideas. They've gotten to do so many great backstory moments, from the Briarwoods, to Kima and Allura and now Ripley. Anna's one red eye was like when Percy was fighting against Orthax in S1 Ep11 and 12, having one red eye, one Percy eye was a sign of his struggle.
For the Pike Blood thing, I honestly think that we’re going to find out the Pike is a descendent of the Everlight. I don’t think it was a coincidence that Ashley played the Everlight in Downfall. I think Matt and her planned that based on a idea they had for the show
Ah ha! I finally found someone with the same theory as I! I have been tempted to explain this theory to a number of people whom were.... not as ok with the Pike changes. In campaign 1, it was made a point a number of times that Pike was special for the Everlight, but it was never expanded upon beyond that. Now, with the canon addition of Downfall and the Everlight's mortal descendants in the picture, these changes start to make sense, especially with the apparent pure nature of her literal bloodline, something Zerxus made a point of, and now visually, as she used it to remove a condition from her party members. It's not confirmed obviously, but if this is indeed where they are going, I am all about it.
@@kjj26k I think you're confusing special with appreciation. In campaign 1, the Everlight was always appreciative for Pike's and her family line's work and faith, but that was always separate from the 'special' comment.
Considering Downfall wasn’t even a twinkle in Matt’s eye until about January 24, it’s extremely unlikely they wrote these episodes after that… But I have to admit, at the moment I’m not keen on what they’re doing with Pike. Optimistic though rather than a hater! Just find myself hoping they do well by this change. EDIT: sorry just reread your comment and properly understood the last sentence 😂 the theory I’d heard already, but from someone who thought they did this in LOVM because of how Ashley played the Everlight and how Downfall turned out. I’m much more on board with the theory now! Imagine if Brennan had messed it up by killing the Everlight’s family though 😂
10:47 i have not seen past episodes 7 so just a theory but I think her using her blood is like like her getting power from xerxez or another evil character and that will make her lose power/ connection from the everlight
C1 spoilers: Indeed Percy does die on Glintshore, and Scanlan traps Ripley in a sphere so that the rest of VM can gather around her and commit a brutal, group HDYWTDT
I know I'm supposed to be shocked and crushed and so on, but I have a hard time believing they aren't going to fix this, so it just feels like a waste of time. I read up on why they did this, and I agree that doing it table-style, with them rushing off to a temple and reversing it, would lower the stakes of the show, and that things need to have gravity and weight and substance... but I still don't believe they won't reverse this, so, yeah, while I understand it and support it mentally... it FEELS like a total waste of time and I'll just be happier when it's over and we can get back to the rest of the story.

Great sleuthing
Well done, you! Very impressive!

I cried at the ending F YOU RIPLEY
GAH. The Critical Role cast are both smart and cruel. They changed the timeline of things so even those that saw the campaign are left uncertain. 😭

Pike was so important to the Everlight in C1 because she was the biggest disciple and did so much work to bring the goddess back.

When I was listening to the music after Percy’s death, I thought I was listening to k-pop. But I think it was Matt who was singing.
It was Matt on vocals, yes (he just confirmed it in a tweet) 😀
Yes it is Matt, and really amazing to have Matt singing the line “That’s not how it’s supposed to end” to close the episode.
thats not a kaneki callback, its a callback to percy in season 1 battling with orthax
Im crying
Oh I 100% CRIED HARD 😂
Ive been kinda down since too tbh, hoping something positiveish happens Wednesday
Should say this is my intro to campaign 1, I'm on episode 48 of Bells Hells (campaign 3)
If it wasn’t in the campaign i wonder if it was anywhere like in the books or in any of the extra content like campaign wrap up talks and questions
This season has the most changes from the campaign and I’m loving it 😊.

How does Percy come back? Is he gone, gone?
Doubtful.
He'll be back.
