So this guy is not a painter in anyway but he is trying, maybe get some advice and you will receive positive comments unlike the one I left thinking it was a set up but hey you had ago
Good try , you need to use soft edge tape or back mask so you don’t get any edges where you taped and you can use a fade out solvent to fade the clear coat on smart repairs or just spray some thinner , always use primer and never wet sand primer as it’s porous and will cause rusting , also you need to blend the base coat further and maybe get the paint shop to match the correct shade of paint, tcut is rubbish compared to compounds like 3m etc
Good job there Ant. Luv the old school T Cut approach...... As you say, if you go looking for it you'll see it. But from the usual 6ft you ain't going to see it. Hope the family are all good. Stay lucky. Stay safe. Stay healthy. Alan L200
Nice job. But did you tare (zero) your balance before adding the hardener - I didn't see it? You said "we have to take it up to 56 with hardener" (16:33) but if you didn't tare, it would be up to 84 as per your notes.
😂not sure now, one things for sure it came out of the gun and stuck to the car, and is still there, if it peals off in a few months you might be right😂 Thanks David for the great comments👍🏻👍🏻🛠
Another great video. Great job, also think in the light the grey metallic painting conveniently blend away small imperfections. These eco-friendly paints used today aren't that resistant anyway, at my C1 dark anthracite metallic against the sun one can even easily spot any sites were the bird poop was sitting too long ... if the scratch would be larger/deeper I just apply after cleaning a thin layer of converter or bit of tin before filling.
Another great vid Anton ….It’s given me a real insight into the world of paint repair. I’ve never seen a tin of T-cut that size before 😀
Glad you enjoyed it, old skool tcut lasts ages, Thanks for the great comments👍🏻👍🏻🛠

Any chance you could do a video on just fixing the lacquer itself? All over the bumper on my 107 it has bad peeling happening, same on my sisters C1
I will look into that one, you can just flat it back and re apply the lacquer, Thanks for the great comments👍🏻👍🏻🛠

Yes the silver doe hide some of the marks, but it also sometimes doesn't blend due to the metallic differences Thanks for the great comments👍🏻👍🏻🛠
