    Thank you so much.
    Excellent tutorial.
    My timing was off, and I just watched your every move and was able to fix it. Saved time and money...
    I appreciate you showing us those maintenance points of reference.😊

    I picked up the CP206RL model a couple months back right when the pandemic craziness hit. Been trying to wind bobbins & thread this several times with no luck. The instructions were terrible. Thank you SO much for doing this video. I may also be getting pre-wound bobbins since this machine isn’t very efficient with winding them.

    Hi Trevor, nice helpful video for newbies to Consew portable! Any chance you have experience with resetting stitch length? My stitch length lever moves but stitch length stays at smallest length except during reverse stitch when it stitches roughly 12 per inch. Scouring the internet only shows how to change the lever for this model.pretty certain I will need to change positions of set screws on an actuator rod, but I need to know which rod is for stitch length, since everything else is t hff med with that. Thanks in advance. Kim

    I just bought this machine and cannot get the tension adjusted for the top thread. It lays on top of the fabric regardless of the setting. The stitch is locking, but all it's all on top. The bottom looks great. I've checked the threading and adjusted the bobbin at no avail. The box was damaged when I got it but the machine seems to be fine otherwise. Where would I go from here?

    My mother in law just gifted me this machine but it is not pulling the bobbin up. After inspecting doing some investigating it looks to me like the needle isn't going far enough down for the hook to catch the thread. Is there a way that you know of to adjust the depth of the needle or is this something to do with timing? Any insight would be greatly appreciated as videos on this machine are difficult to find

    • @trinipattan1472

      I raise the presser foot and make sure the shuttle is removed so that there is nothing that can contact the needle while the bobbin is spooling up

    • @trinipattan1472

      I always do a back stitch of about 3" at the beginning and end of my work. It keeps the lock stitch form coming apart.

  • @ZeeCaptainRon

    Thanks for the explanation, the book the machine came with was worthless. Threading was not intuitive and you showed me where the problem was. Could you do everyone a favor and hold the camera steady, the bouncing around was making me nauseous. Invest in an editing program and cut out the jerky parts, if you don't get the bit you want, record it again. There were many times you were trying to show something, but what you were describing was out of the frame. If you want to do more of this, invest in a camera with manual focus, set up your shot and record from a tripod. Thanks and good luck.

  • @MrLeonidas0001
    @MrLeonidas0001 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    Well I’m having an issue where the thread is pulled directly back out of the needle right when I start sewing...thoughts?

    • @trinipattan1472
      @trinipattan1472  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      If it's threaded correctly the only thing would pull the thread back out is if there wasn't enough excess on the other side of the needle. When you thread it, there should be about 6" of excess thread so that when the eyelet raises to relieve tension it won't pull all the way out

    • @MrLeonidas0001
      @MrLeonidas0001 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Trevor Haynes yes that did help! I finally got it. The needle slot was positioned on the wrong side when I got the machine! I manually ran several stitches & now I got it to go! Woo hoo thanks 😊🙏🏼

  • @treeroofgrass

    Ah! I have a Rex 607z and it occasionally skips stitches. already replaced the needle. maybe I need to check timing .

    • @trinipattan1472
      @trinipattan1472  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Check the hook on the shuttle. It should swing right by the indent on the needle just before the needle starts going back up. The object is to get it as close to the needle without actually touching it. 2 things have to happen.
      1: the needle has to go down far enough that the eye of the needle is lower than the hook
      2. The hook has to begin it's reverse swing BEFORE the needle begins to retract.
      If this isn't happening there's a 95% chance your timing is off.

    • @treeroofgrass
      @treeroofgrass 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Gotcha!! gonnna check it... thanks for your reply!!

    • @treeroofgrass
      @treeroofgrass 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Trevor Haynes Yikes! The needle retracts before the hook reverses

    • @trinipattan1472
      @trinipattan1472  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The hook is supposed to be going away from the needle as it descends and then come back and snatch the thread from the indent on the side of the needle just as the needle starts going up. I wish I could tell you how to make the necessary adjustments but I'm not familiar with your machine.

    • @treeroofgrass
      @treeroofgrass 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I watched a video from sailrite and I saw that the needle bar was set too low. I adjusted it and now it doesn’t skip stitches. the only thing left to fix is the presser foot height...doesn’t lift very high

    Hello.....I have a 7360 RB 2 in a table that was given to me by someone who knows nothing about it.....The foot does not sit tight on the fabric...It has a knee lever and I can't see how to adjust it ( underneath)....would you or your followers be able to help me?.....
    TIA !!

    • @trinipattan1472
      @trinipattan1472  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      That's one of those thing that would have to be seen in person to diagnose. Look under the table where the knee pad to lift the presser foot is located. Make sure nothing is binding up. The lever pushes the presser foot release on the machine via a shaft. It the machine wasn't set down into the table correctly this may be an issue. Otherwise the presser foot engagement can be adjusted via the cover on the left of the machine. I would lift the machine out of the table and make sure everything is as it should be before making any adjustments. Usually it's just something not properly aligned when the machine was moved

    • @trinipattan1472
      @trinipattan1472  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      If this is a new problem you may try installing a new needle. Also make sure the needle goes through the center of the small panel above the shuttle. If it runs against anything through it's length of travel the friction will be enough to break the thread.
      I may make a video on thread breaking problems this weekend if time permits.

    • @trinipattan1472
      @trinipattan1472  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I don't use all the holes because every hole adds a little bit of tension and for my purposes I have all the tension on the top thread I need. Addition tension tends to snap the thread and bunch up my work unless I'm sewing thicker leather.
