And as a result, you can make some pretty ridiculous stuff with Rogue in wild. Not exactly top tier, but still able to out-control any control deck.
Like, I’m pretty sure Dane is already working on a Flik + Shadowcaster deck that’ll just delete the opponent’s entire deck, hand and board, one card at a time.

That's pretty funny, but tbh I think Galakrond Rogue looks great. Rogue got kinda screwed in Knights because their hero card had a really low impact battlecry, and their hero power was really strong but required you to conserve your resources to use it properly (whereas Jaina, Gul'dan, Rexxar and so forth all got impactful battlecries and their hero powers could be used in a vacuum.) Valeera the Hollow also cost more than she should have (she should have probably been 7 mana).
Then there was Kingsbane rogue, and that was okay. but wasn't great, and was considered really cheesy & unfair.
Now we have Galakrond. Which does tie together A LOT of the sort of failed attempts at Rogue archetypes. Hero cards have almost always been centralizing and powerful. I don't think the Rogue Galakrond is any different. The hero power is amazing, and the battlecry (even before you upgrade it) is very strong too.

Because people just look what other top players are using. The funny thing is that more decks are viable and go under the radar for most expansions, I highly recommend making your own decks and tweaking them.
So much more fun when it's your own.
With all of those cheap cards and free coins you have to run Edwin.
Lol. I get excited for about two seconds until i realize ill never have cards to make a deck that i think of.
When I save a decent amount toward the end of an expansion, and break down cards I'll never use, I'm always able to make about 3 complete tier 2-3 meta decks in the first week. Always. And I only average 20min-1hr a day. 80% of the cards in this meta are good, not just the legs, so you're going to get good cards just opening a couple packs at a time. Either you don't know what you're doing or...?
@@phillystevesteak6982 or they prefer to not spend 20 min a day in a game that barely rewards you for bashing your head into it on a regular basis - arena not withstanding

Anyone else notice "Lackey" in small white text when he hovers over invoke cards?
I feel like it's supposed to have the respective Galakrond hero power show up on the side, but only "Lackey", which is normally in bold in the power's description, is shown for some reason. EDIT: Turns out I'm right, note that the entire overlay shows up at 30:28 when Trump briefly hovers over Praise Galakrond. It's not the hero power overlay but the card effect description overlay or whatever it's called.

Was it a misplay to not play Dragonhoof when he discovered two Malygos? Would that one Devastation be effected by spell damage? It would have done like 15 damage.

My favorite thing to do with heistbaron is togwaggles scheme it and choose the draw 3 cards reduce em to 0. Then you draw into 0 cost heistbarons and keep drawing more and more forever :)

@@fosso8803 In wild reno hunter is a thing.... and it's good! For standard it is very unlikely because of "class identity" nonsense. But hey, I would be a big fan if it would actually happen!

This deck could be refined even more. This deck looks like a pain in the ass to play against.
Take out the Mechanical Whelps for Togwaggle Schemes or Baleful Banker IMHO. More Value, better body.
@@fftgamer I disagree, there's already far too much value in the deck. The whelps make the Necrium package a lot more consistent, though perhaps that entire package should be swapped out for more early game.

I believe this deck would benefit way more with Shadowstep over Bloodsail Flybooter. I'll try it once the expac comes out.
Waxadred would be insane in a class with a lot of removal and survivability but in Rogue it's only okay.
okay this got me so hyped im goind to get to legend with just rogue, last expansion i got to rank 5 with just rogue.. any deck tips would be appreciated, my last deck list contained allot of draw with the serated tooth ticket scalper combo, i ran tess togwaggle and hooktusk 4 cards with dupes and zephyrs, im thinking of maybe going more on the deathrattle package with anka? or maybe just go pirates/dragons/galakrond?

Waxadred without Shadow of Death? 5 mana for a recurring 7/5 is good, but 4 mana for another 3 of them seems pretty tempting even without immediate impact

I don't think it's all necessary. The only Legendaries I'm after are Kronx and Waxadred. I already have Togwaggle, and we get Galakrond for free. You could definitely cheapen this with some SI:7s and Fan of Knives, etc.
But Ziliax and Flik are just superfluous, I think. Assassinate or Walk the Plank is probably just as good.
Trump please for decklist! Also disappointed that you didn't go for the kronx letal in the second match.
Control rogue can't be a thing until it can beat aggro. Don't see much in this build to suggest it would do anything except die to pirate warrior every game
I think the lackey generation can help with that issue. I think the deck would need more refinement, but lackeys can be fairly good at contesting the board and staving off aggro.
Khartut + other taunts could help. But yeah Rogue has always felt like it auto-loses to face decks sadly
@@Gtcarroll96 Survive to turn 6 with a tog scheme and kronx for board clear or summoning 8/8 taunts might help.

seeing the guy play the 12 card legendary made me realise, that i would prob never use it, simply because too many cards becomes overwhelming for me and makes it harder for me to make decisions.
Holy fuuuuuuuuuuuck I don't think I've ever seen power levels like this. From what I see here I'm actually okay with it so far. I love how value focused this expansion is.

@@admiraltonydawning3847 To be fair, the reason current pirate warrior is so strong is that it has insane value for an aggro deck. Aggro is supposed to run out of fuel around turn 5-6 if it draws its explosive early game; ancharrr and livewire lance (plus maybe the re-equip a weapon pirate) give so much value that pirate warrior can play the first five turns like a normal aggro deck, and then still be able to play quite a few strong turns thereafter.
Putting two non goldens in a full golden deck at the start? NOOOOOOO

I played a jade rogue last expansion (without n'zot cuz dust) and It was really fun and quite strong, think i should review it a bit adding apothecary and maybe waxadred
Well i wasn't legend but i still managed to reach and stay in rank 8/7/6 without kind of issues
Combo rouge is a missed treasure, malygous for free and ton of spells

Flysail Rocketbooter isn’t good in this deck, you already have enough combo activators in deck as is and plenty of lackeys too.

Saved up 4200 gold to buy packs for the new expansion, last time was also 4k+, 40+ packs and all i got was 3 useless legendaries.

No, it's not actually a spell, it's a minion effect. It's like how Keeper of the Grove does not deal extra damage when you have spell damage.
Calling it now. This deck, but without the deathrattle package, and with carpet and tempo will be a viable deck in the meta

I play it with spirit of the shark and it makes you more aggro to midrange, it doesnt really help with the control part of the deck.

I think this deck needs some more tweaking I assume it'd die to Pirate warrior because it has no sustain currently except for Zilliax and Galakrond armor gain.
From what I've seen by now, it looks like even full control decks (in classes with actual control tools) struggle against pirates unless they bring lifegain. Ancharrr, arcanite reaper, livewire lance, the re-equip weapon card, upgrade, and captain greenskin make for an enormous amount of face damage even when you can clear the board every turn.
Why dont you play Cairne Bloodhoof in this deck? I think cairne is a better card that Mechanical whelp

If you can immediately trigger the deathrattle, it could be viable. The value of getting it resummoned even once seems really powerful.
