Oh guys I’m definitely pretty sure it would take you a little bit of time yourselfs taking one off for the very first time also!!! I didn’t really think it took to long for them to take it off for the first time!!! Now I would definitely say put some rectangular tubing for the forks to fit into on the bottom if you can get both pieces level with one another on the bottom side and put a short chain on the very back side so that you could hook to the blower and to the forks on the skid steer so that if it doesn’t come out easily the chain can help pull on it so that the forks don’t end up sliding out of the fork pockets!! Then he could have a pallet setup with blocks to help keep the setup level as it was on the truck!!! One other tip Shawn is I would definitely put some grease into the square holes of the hookup points on the truck so that they don’t get rusted in place over time and it shouldn’t make it nice and easy to pull out with a little grease put on the spots of contact!!! Those square receivers can definitely get pretty corroded up pretty fast when driving in weather like you use the truck in also!!! If you don’t want to use some grease to help lube it up you could also use some anti-seize!!! Hopefully that helps out some or gives you a few ideas!!!!
Sean, I think you owe Noah a nice filet mignon dinner with all the fixings and dessert and a nice little Christmas bonus. He has been such a great friend to you helping you all the time when you need help I know that’s what friends are for, but he is a terrific person and a great friend. Nice to have people like that when you need that extra hand.
He had it on a dump trailer before. A lot of lawn care companies transition to trailerless. Going trailerless cuts a lot of overhead out of the business between extra maintenance, tags, and insurance. Besides companies don’t have to worry about some one being able to back a trailer up.
Hey Shawn for your loading dock for the sand have you seen those big solar powered flood lights that kick one when there is movement. Just thought it would be nice to have the extra light
Have you considered getting a extra factory backup camera and coming uo with a way to mount it to the salt spreader snd also mounting one to the ramprack?
17:31 I saw those shovels at my local Ace hardware store they're great for a commercial use not for homeowner they're expensive but that white plastic shovel portion can be replaced they order you can order The white shovel portion ones that wears out so you can always have that handle and it's less expensive to replace the shovel part than it is to buy a whole new shovel. So basically the white portion of that shovel is the consumable part of the shovel
Nothing like having fellow landscapers to help Ya out when ya need it. Lol. Working together like that is always a plus. I’m sure the Spencer event was a huge success. Can’t wait for updates. lol. Ya be safe careful stay warm and dry and keep up the great work. Bruce in Wv!!!
Just another idea , what if the fabricator welded on 4 trailer jack mounts on the corners, you could remove them when it’s on the truck but then install them when you remove the vacuum and you could just back the truck where ever you wanted and jack all 4 jacks up and drive away and since each jack would be independent the ground wouldn’t need to be level, it could even just stay on them in the off season(like the mower jacks I’ve seen on zero turns )
Shawn I think it would’ve been better to build a fixture for that engine to sit on easily done with 4 x 4‘s and 2x 4’s and the skid…. Isn’t an event like a wedding not a snowstorm? 🇺🇸👊🏼👊🏼✌🏼
Did you know that you can get an after market camera to mount on the salt spreader that will hook in to where your camera in the tailgate connects. The only reason I know is Brain from Brain's law maintenance just got one for his truck to mount to his salt spreader
Great job the Salt bucket looks heavy God bless ya.and your extra helper.your a great couple .reminds me of my hubbie we did plowing as well.salting.do miss him tho he passed away.u guy get alot.of fresh air make me jealous lol God bless .have a great week.looking forward to your next one

You just overcomplicated a 2-3 man removal.
When doesn't he overcomplicate something 😅
nah that thing VERY heavy not worth it
Always easy to armchair quarterback.

Just a thought, maybe you should have had that mounted on a separate trailer so you wouldn't have to go through all the commotion of removing it
He had it on a dump trailer before. A lot of lawn care companies transition to trailerless. Going trailerless cuts a lot of overhead out of the business between extra maintenance, tags, and insurance. Besides companies don’t have to worry about some one being able to back a trailer up.
ya like one the towable ones probably woulda been the move tbh
Have the fabricator weld some fork holes on the bottom so it's easy to puff with a forklift or Skid Steer.
Seems like the trailer was the best option after all. This is quite the time waster having it on the dump truck.
Be safe out there Have a successful snow season
Could weld a couple of 2x4” rectangle steel on the bottom of the frame for the forks to go in to pull the unit off the back of truck

I know what you mean about the wind, 55 here in SC and the wind really makes it cooler on the golf course.
When you building a shop
That’s been put on hold for a yr
Have you considered getting a extra factory backup camera and coming uo with a way to mount it to the salt spreader snd also mounting one to the ramprack?
The infomercial was Showtime Rotisserie by Ron Popeil. Have a great evening! Stay Warm
Yep it sure was I remember that one and actually my mom bought one of those 20 plus years ago and it was okay.
That is correct lol
Why not add an aftermarket backup camera when the spreader is in?
Looks like a nice lift loop between the air filter housing and the blower assembly.

IT'S THAT TIME OF YEAR

Hey Team Spencer, I hope you have an awesome week!!!
You need cameras installed on the rear of the salters
Just another idea , what if the fabricator welded on 4 trailer jack mounts on the corners, you could remove them when it’s on the truck but then install them when you remove the vacuum and you could just back the truck where ever you wanted and jack all 4 jacks up and drive away and since each jack would be independent the ground wouldn’t need to be level, it could even just stay on them in the off season(like the mower jacks I’ve seen on zero turns )
Jesus your full of ideas😂
Where do you buy a snow shovel at
You the man Shawn you have some good friends
Hey Shawn dump truck looks nice and are you going to put a front snow plow on the Chevy or keep it the way it is for right now
Hey Shawn how was your day today
Hey Shawn when are you going to get more snow over there
That's not how you do donuts in a empty parking on boss.
Wow with that amount of snow the salt will melt it all? Do u like the clearlane? Idk about the wetness it kinda clumps
Awesome video have a great upcoming week ahead stay safe out there
We just had a little ice storm Friday night, Saturday morning here in Iowa
Nice work Shawn and TQ I bet you can wait to you get your building done to take your equipment apart and store
Shawn I think it would’ve been better to build a fixture for that engine to sit on easily done with 4 x 4‘s and 2x 4’s and the skid…. Isn’t an event like a wedding not a snowstorm? 🇺🇸👊🏼👊🏼✌🏼
