Yes to true as the first starter rifles but then the money price and availability I have been a fan of Hw rifles but I went and got a xs38, and that was the start, bought 4more the dB, 3 and Db5 custom and two,B2 one in 22and one in 177 and the rest in 22 and I got my eyes opened there up there in my eyes, and all under £500 ASI was going to get a hw90 but the price is £550 and one rifle so I got 4 rifles and change for one more.
The 220 i think is a much better rifle than the 100. 1060mm long, has a recoil pad, fiber optic sights, just 2.8 Kg in weight, yet packs a bigger punch compared to the Cometa 100 and they are similar in dimensions and weight.
Hi Jonk. I'll see what I can do on that but I have shot both of my rifles and can give my impressions. When it comes to ease of use and consistency it basically goes to the Weihrauch every time simply due to the trigger. The trigger on the Norica is unfortunately a very basic unit and isn't in the same league as the Rekord trigger. When it comes to accuracy though there's not as much in it as you'd think despite the price difference. Norica have always made an accurate barrel and the Dream hunter is lovely to shoot. If you can get used to the trigger I've got no doubts that the Norica would be pretty much every bit as accurate as the 97. It's also lighter but due to this you do notice the recoil a smidge more. Thanks Jonk and I hope this helps.

I can't seem to find many reviews on Cometa air rifles and only one dealer on-line here in Canada, so I would like to see more on these rifle. Is the Fusion line of rifles well built rifle or is 'middle of the road',... these are questions I'd like to get answers to. Thanks for this one Dan.
Hi Reg! The Fusion is very, very well built. My only nitpicks are the plastic trigger guard and the trigger blade itself. That being said unlike some of the Walther gear the trigger unit is actually very sweet and light. The stocks are also beautifully finished with nice bluing as can be seen even with this little 100. It's too bad that you can't see one up close Reg as they're pretty special it must be said, and not stupid money like some neither. We'll be reviewing the Fusion soon after the Fenix's if it helps. Cheers Reg.

Hello from Spain, Dan! Nice and interesting video. Like! I'm going to buy this airgun next week, I think it's 10 joules power, and I would like to know what's a right pellet weight for this Cometa 100. I mean, what's the most suitable pellet weight for this airgun? Thank you very much and keep it up!
I am stuck with Canada's 495fps limit...I recently got a cheap Chinese "B4" break barrel in .177...I wonder if I could switch spring for the .22 version of this rifle, and shoot heavy pellets to keep it under the 495fps limit? I currently use 7 to 8 grain pellets, butbif I swapped springs and shot, say, 15ish grain pellets, you think I would be under the 495fps? Or should I just not worry about it and shoot it as is? I dont have a chronograph but may be able to borrow one.

@@bigdansairguns83 there are many variations, of course, depends on the weight of the installed gas, which can be 35kg or 30kg but ranges from 180ms to 205ms, taking into account the weight of ammunition. But if the customization is done well you have a spread of a maximum of 4 / ms
Really great informative review 👍
Thanks Simon I'm glad you enjoyed it!
Great video a great first time rifle less recoil there for it's very accurate good one Dan
Thanks Stephen!
It's a lovely little thing mate it really is, the fact that ASI gives us that lifetime warranty to go with it also shows a ton of confidence in the little rifle. I wish more manufacturers could do the same.
Great review bud, take it easy pal 👍
Thanks Jon you too bud!
Any chance of a Walther Terrus vs Weihrauch HW 99s review.?
Hi Bruce.
That's not a bad idea I'll see if we can look into it for a future video!
Great review, any chance of a future video on the cometa 220?
Hi George!
Absolutely mate I plan on reviewing all of the Cometas one after the other.
Thanks George!
The 220 i think is a much better rifle than the 100. 1060mm long, has a recoil pad, fiber optic sights, just 2.8 Kg in weight, yet packs a bigger punch compared to the Cometa 100 and they are similar in dimensions and weight.
Any chance of a review/test on the Norica Dream Hunter? Comparison to your 97?
@@bigdansairguns83 thanks Dan, very clear and concise mini review there! :) .
I won't be buying a (potential) guillotine trap in the near future, but never say never. If only my pockets were sized like a wheel barrow and I could fill it with lots of the green stuff and if you were closer, I'd empty it into your big burley hands!!! - misses wouldn't be pleased that I managed to dig all those from the shed, which provides never ending supply of air guns I've never shot for ages :).
All the best for the future Dan.
Just wish Weihrauch would update their designs now and again.
Good review big man 👍
Thanks mate and sorry for the late response.
finally a springer. thanks
Hi Todd!
That's exactly what I was thinking mate haha. "It's about damn time!"
Cheers Reg.
@@bigdansairguns83 OK then Dan, thanks for your reply. I will wait to see your thoughts on these Cometa rifles, both the Fusion and the Fenix are available to me.
I want to buy one, so I'll wait and see how these perform.
Nice to know that these are 'higher quality' rifles in the springer rifles that are available to me.
How much are decent air rifles in Europe,I live in Canada 🇨🇦 and you can usually get scoped combo for $200…
Hi Lliija
You can get respectable rifle and scope packages for around the £150 mark such as with the Remington Express rifles.
Big Dan's Airguns That rifle is nice 👍 but needs rubber butt to be complete...
Where did you find there is life time warranty ? I do not see this on the web site of Cometa. Or do you mean guarantee ?
Hi Koeni! I offer the lifetime warranty if the rifle is ordered from me at bigdansairguns.co.uk.
Thanks Koeni and all the best!
Dan.
Thanks Dan ,sound little riffle that!'
Hi Kevin!
It's a lovely little gun mate and that warranty is just the icing on the cake! It's a solid feeling little gun too and that barrel definitely does the business.
How are you man how far can you hunt with this rifle and what is the appropriate spray weight for it Thank you for your answer
I like that gun and I am adult. What is Your height? I am 173cm You look pretty taller then me. I want it for plinking and price fits my budget perfectly
Hi Nikola!
I'm 195cm so while it may be slightly small for me it should fit you very well. The Cometa 100 makes an excellent plinker or close range target rifle.
Thanks Nikola and if you ever need anything never hesitate to get in touch or to get your own Cometa 100 contact us at: bigdansairguns.co.uk
All the best.
@@bigdansairguns83 Many thanks, just got home with mine :) got it at our local shop. Looks nice, feels nice, sits well in shoulder. I think that anyone below 180 cm would feel this gun fits perfectly. I only think it should have some rubber pad on the stock, not for comfort but to protect from knocking the wood around and it would look nice with a black detail on stock
I have a cometa 300 😁
Hey Des!
They're a lovely looking rifle the 300, hopefully that's what we'll be reviewing next!
Sorry to try and contact you on this , but I've tried email twice and calling to make enquiries regarding the SMK B2 Delux package and Beeman Jackal 2066. - ta michael
@@MC-ip8gb Hi Michael.
I'm so sorry about that we've been delivering lately and so I'll admit it will probably be difficult to contact us via the phone. That being said we did reply to your Email it might've gone through to your junk folder.
Unfortunately don't have any B2's or Jackals in stock at the moment I'm afraid. That being said if you're still interested I'll get in touch as soon as we have them,
Thanks Michael and once again I'm sorry for any inconveniences.
@@bigdansairguns83 cheers for that, I thought you'd been tied up, I'll check junk. Do you have something similar in stock or do you have an idea when will be ? Ty
