Let's Go Camping Ep.11 | Camp Know Where 2.0

Hello everyone, welcome to another episode of "Let's Go Camping". Join us on our adventure to visit and camp at all the pet friendly campsites throughout Malaysia. In this episode, let's head up to Kuala Kubu Bharu as we will be setting up camp at a riverside campsite. After slightly more than 1 hours drive, we arrived at this small, simple yet clean campsite. The final stretch of road going in is not paved and could be a little bumpy but still accessible to all vehicles.
In total there are 6 plots available for camping and also a kampung house where you can rent for a stay as well. The campsites are by the river but it is located on high ground so there is no worry about the river overflowing to the campsite. Upon arrival, we were shown where all the facilities were by the caretaker of the campsite. However do take note that for all telco, there is no reception in the campsite. However, they do have Starlink internet which will be turned on during specific hours.
With 6 clearly marked lots, the campsite also has a lot of trees providing some shade but the area where tents are pitched is open to the elements so it can get a little hot during the day. But once the sun starts to set in the evening, we can totally feel the cooling ambient as the temperature starts to drop. Even in the morning, the sun will not hit the campsite until late morning due to the surrounding mountains.
There are 2 toilets and 2 bathrooms located behind the kampung house which we will need to climb a flight of stairs which was properly lit throughout the night. The washing area with multiple sinks are located outside the toilet area. There is also another washing area located where the plots for camping is so it is very convenient. From the top where the toilets are, you will get a nice view of the entire campsite and the river below.
Overall this campsite is kept clean and although with all the amenities, the entire area gives us the feel that we are back in nature itself. Activities you can find there are all things that is offered by nature including stargazing when the night sky is clear and also enjoying the river where the current is not very strong and it is quite shallow.
