  • I've been wearing my hidden crown extensions for over a year at this point...how has my opinion changed? In this video, I compare the different styles (daydream vs. hidden crown) and the colors I've tried (#8 vs. #882).
    My extensions:
    Hidden Crown 12" (original style) - Color 882 (Dark Ash Blonde Mix)
    Hidden Crown 12" (original style) - Color 8 (Light Brown/Dark Blonde)
    Hidden Crown Daydream 14" - Color 8 (Light Brown/Dark Blonde)

    Thank you for taking the time to make this video- super helpful! I recently got the 14" original hidden crown and had my hairstylist take a few inches off to better blend it with my hair, but omg it's still SO MUCH HAIR. Even though it's definitely the most natural looking extension I've ever worn, I still felt self conscious simply because I'm just not used to having all that hair! So, I also just ordered a Daydream. However, seeing you with both of yours in makes me feel better about wearing the original hidden crown. You look great in both styles!

      hippityhound totally felt the same way! I felt super self conscious wearing it first because it was WAY more hair than I’m used to, but over time I’ve liked wearing them more and more 😊 glad you found it helpful!

    Thank you sooo much for this videos!😁 much appreciated as many dont do reviews on the 14 inches... but my hair is short so I appreciate this length!😉 anyway you would consider reviewing a longer layered one for us?😍

      Glad it was helpful! If I ever get one of the layered ones I will definitely make a review ❤️

    This is extremely helpful. Their website is bizarre in that it lists the names of the colors darker than a professional hairdresser would. What they call "brown" is actually dark blond, so I couldn't find the right dark blond color for me until I watched your video. And in general, I don't like how they have so many shades of light blond but only a few shades of darker colors. I also don't like how they have no ash colors. Every color is so red-based. I may have to have a hairdresser make it ashier for me.

      Totally agree the colors are confusing on their website! Glad this was helpful 😊

      That’s so true! I’m trying to get one that matches my hair, but every time they end up being too red

      Ingrid Braga yes! They're super pink/red. I was torn between 882 & 812, bc I like the ashiness of 882 but I don't like that it's darker & lighter colors are so chunky. The 812 is a little less ashy but I think the highlights blend better, so I got that one in 22". I might just get the 882 too later but in a shorter version like 14".

    They look so good on you!!! Is the number 8 have alot of red tones in them? I'm going to order a pair but the look kinda reddish to me, I have a light brown ashy tone hair. It's do hard to tell lol what were the colours you ordered and had to send back?

    • @MissSarahEK
      @MissSarahEK  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      The number 8 is definitely warm toned. When I get my hair toned cooler it no longer matches until my highlights warm up again.

    • @MissSarahEK

      The colors I sent back were 60/8P which was way too light, and also I think 612 (although I can’t remember for sure on the 2nd color)

    Can you wear your hair totally straight with the daydream on? That’s usually how I style my hair but I’ve read elsewhere that wearing it straight shows the sides of the weft wear it attaches to the band. I would be wearing them the same length as my hair so the ends wouldn’t be an issue.

    • @MissSarahEK
      @MissSarahEK  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I think you should be fine with straight hair, especially if your extensions are the same length as your hair! Sometimes I wear mine straight and haven’t noticed a difference in how much you can see the weft.

    Thank you for the video!! I was wondering if you had to add that little wavy curl your extensions have going on or if it came like that? Do they just come super straight? Does it give you a headache with extended wear or anything like that? Thanks in advance!

    • @MissSarahEK
      @MissSarahEK  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Glad you found it helpful! I curled them since they came super straight. They don’t give me a headache, but I don’t typically wear them for an entire day (usually just for going out or events) so it’s hard to say if they would in that scenario. The daydreams are lighter weight if you are worried about that ☺️

    How frequently do you wear them? I read reviews from people who said that their hair started to fall out in the area where the wire hangs, but they wore the halo every day

    • @MissSarahEK
      @MissSarahEK  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I don’t wear them everyday - usually once or twice a week for a few hours to go out or film videos. I haven’t had any issues with hair falling out around the wire from that level of wear.

      I never heard anyone mentioning that before! I’m looking to try out the halo extension but since i have really thin hair I’m worried that the wire will show up quite obvious.. and I definitely don’t want my hair to fall out from wearing them:( could you share the source of that review maybe?
      Thanks for the review btw Sarah:)

    • @perolikewhytho7174
      @perolikewhytho7174 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@yvonneQ3Q I haven't seen any reviews that say that either. Did you end up getting a Halo or finding the bad reviews?

    • @yvonneQ3Q
      @yvonneQ3Q ปีที่แล้ว

      @@perolikewhytho7174 I did get a halo! But not from any specific brand. I got a couple of weaves from a local wig shop and sewed them together. Basically a big one piece extension. Then put on a fishing wire on either end. This way I could adjust how heavy I want the extension to be so it wouldn’t put too much load on my scalp where the wire sits.

  • @heckman28

    These have peaked my interest but I just don’t get how the heck these stay secure on the head with just a wire on top and no clips! I’m worried to spend all of this money and then hate them!! Also I love being able to put my fingers through my bangs and flip my hair from side to side. Can’t do that with this in, right?

    • @MissSarahEK
      @MissSarahEK  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hmm I’ve only ever tried halo extensions so I’m not sure how they compare to clip ins. However, when I first started wearing them I was worried about them falling out but I got used to the fact that they move around a little naturally (and I’ve never had them get dislodged from their spot unless I flipped my head upside down). You would probably have to be a bit careful running your fingers through the top of your hair or doing TOO much waving around though 👩🏼

    Do you recommend the hair insurance?

    Does the wire show? I saw a couple of reviews and most people said it’s nearly invisible unless you look really closely. But since my part is quite wide (not like I’m balding but my hair is not thick at all haha) I’m not sure if I have enough hair to cover the wire. How’s your experience with the wire? Do you get self conscious about it? Or has anyone noticed it? Thanks a lot :)

    • @MissSarahEK
      @MissSarahEK  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I agree the wire is pretty much invisible! As long as hair is not trapped underneath (which can be achieved by using a fine tipped comb), it’s not visible unless someone was looking directly at your scalp and looking for it. If you are worried about it though, there are certain hairstyles that help cover it even more (such as pinning back some of your front hair to cover your part in that area). I hope that helps! ❤️
