The late, great Charlie Daniels used to say "Jimmy Hall's got more soul in his little finger than most people have in their whole body." I concur brother Charlie!

      Great lineup.
I've always loved GFR and Wet Willie, since I first heard them on my radio, waaaaaaaaay back when.
I always wanted to see them live in concert, but I never had the privilege.
I still have both bands on 45s, albums, 8tracks, cassettes, and cds.
And I'd like to thank them, for the magic, music, and memories.

Southern rock propped up the 70s, really. The "British Invasion" had fizzled out for the most part. I still listen to all of the classics at age 80. There were some great bands at the old Charlotte Coliseum for a mere $10, such as Alabama with Marshall Tucker opening. Eric Clapton played there, as did the Allman Bros. And as a 15 yr old, I saw Elvis there in 1956 with my 14 yr old sister--65 yrs ago. And I taught my 2 sons to love rock as much as I did.
