It's not the blanket that makes them happy, it's receiving a visit, they are so bored all alone in their box, and they also love humans
These pups were rescued from commercial breeding facilities and people are typically quite scary upon arrival
I have a rescue who came out of a horrible hoarding situation (over 100 dogs in a 1000 Sq ft house). She was terrified of people. Her foster had 3 dogs & runs a doggy day care. The dogs helped my little girl learn that people are okay. It was still took months for her to start trusting people. She has made up for lost time and rules our house (&❤'s) now.
Edit: Dogs don't automatically trust or love humans. It is a earned & learned behavior.
Agreed, but these dogs have probably been in wire cages for months or more, and a blanket is a comfort for a dog, just like a child, something soft to lay down on.
The dogs had been in this “box” for all of 5 minutes at this time. They were pretty happy to have a blanket.

We know how scared they typically come in. People are very scary and they have been moved from the only place they ever knew. If they come up to people for pets they are happily given but if they stay away, we work to desensitize them and help them see they are safe and cared for
This breaks my heart. Such a small thing can bring a tail wag. hopefully life will only get better for these sweethearts.

They need having homes and a family more than blankets. But I do admire people who do the most they can for abandoned and stray animals. Rescuing animals, especially abused animals, is not for the faint of heart.

That's a Soft Coated Wheaten Terrier! We are on our 2nd. They are wonderful dogs. Always a puppy, very smart. But they are terriers. They need a very gentle alpha. They're so cute you may think they will always behave, but they need non-scolding training. Also gotta stay on top of the brushing. You will get years of joy! The first one (2nd dog in the video) had his tail docked, some of the others didn't.

We are. Our dogs stay with us until adopted though occasionally we will transfer longer term residents to a trusted rescue partner to get more eyes on them
