Potara fusions are supposed to be stronger than dance fusions but the sheer degree with which ssj1 Vegito could toy with ultimate buu implies a need for a gargantuan difference in scale factor between the two fusion methods for ultimate boo to be stronger than ssj1 gogeta. And of course in theory gogeta would retain goku's knowledge of ssj3 so even if ultimate buu was initially stronger he could form change to do it.
When I first saw Pikkon I though he was just a Piccolo rip off. Now I think he's one of the coolest characters in the the DB universe even if he was just a filler character.

When this was used in the Goku vs Majin Vegeta fight it was so fucking intense. easily one of the best fights in the series.
