Korey and I spent A LOT of time entering ALL these books (minus the TBR and middle grade because we lost steam) into the description with links. Soooo if you want any of them, please use our links!
I'm impressed by all that hard work! I would like to suggest incorporating an indie bookstore instead of Amazon when linking to books? Indie bookstores need so much help and appreciation for work they do within their communities. Some, like ours, even have a way to purchase books online through our store and have them delivered to your home. Just a suggestion but I love you and I love all the work you do!
Thank you for the all the work you must've put into filming and editing this video. Gotta love a bookshelf tour that takes less than 10 minutes to watch :)
Your shelves are just... *chef's kiss* -- that wood. So gorgeous. So sturdy. lol Be prepared for a book full of trash humans, whenever you get to Wuthering Heights. haha! God I love them, though.
I completely agree with your Hunger Games review. I loved the first book and loved the second one even more than the first but I was really disappointed with Mockingjay
I really like this style of tour, especially because you tell us the star rating so we know if you've read a certain book and how much you enjoyed it. I also enjoy how its centered on the books and not on shelf trinkets like candles and funko pops (don't have any problem with them, those video sections just don't interest me).
Curse of Challion was so good! Can't wait to see what you think of it. That and her second book in the series Paladin of Souls were fantastic. Sidesteps a lot of common fantasy tropes while building incredibly realistic characters
I am so conflicted as to whether I want all of your books or those pretty bookshelves... This gives me a much better idea of your tastes however so thank you!
I loved the tour. Personally, I love collecting all types of books for my bookshelves, but I've realized that sometimes I just have to get the book design that I can find at a local store. I like Hardcovers and Trades for displaying(but they can both be expensive) and I like Mass Market for portability(in my backpack). Even though I know you like Trades, you should keep your Wheel of Time collection as the Mass Markets because the artwork by Darrell K. Sweet is great and iconic. The trade paperback editions seem to simple in design to me.
I was just watching one of your more recent videos and saw a book in the back that caught my eye and NEEDED to figure out what it was. The Count of Monte Cristo has such a beautiful cover to me.
I love your shelves! But just for me, (since it is one of my all time favorite series) you have Brisingr and Inheritance swapped! Can't wait for you to reread them to discuss!
MERPHY I SWEAR this morning I watched the bookshelf tour from last year and I thounght “she should do a new one now! I would love to see it”. And now this! I swear you read minds Gurl!
Neverwhere is one of my favourite books in the world and definitely my favourite Neil Gaiman (my second favourite Gaiman is, ironically enough, Norse Mythology). I really hope you'll get to them soon and that you will like them. 😊
The Inheritance Cycle is a series that I also have no idea how I would review anymore...loved the first two books when I was a teenager but I'm afraid to go back because I know they won't hold up XD
love the presentation of that! must have been painful to do though. was sort of expecting a whole other shelf with how many books you go through! knew 1/8 of the titles. maybe less . lol thanks for doing that!
On an older video, you mentioned once liking Ted Dekker books. Have you gone back to them at all? I’ve recently been lightly rereading The Circle series and it’s holding up better than expected with some odd things here and there! 😄
So happy to see green rider, I read in high school and it has been a favorite ever since. It come out before book tube was a thing so I haven’t seen it anywhere else, I’m looking forward to your thoughts.
@@matthewjoy475 Ah, tbh, I haven't watched the movie yet, while I'm absolutely planning to (since it's quite influential), I just never got around to see it.
I’m not a big fan of bookshelf tours, thank you for making a short one! I love looking at shelves but going through every individual book is a bit boring for me. I’d rather the person talk about a few in-depth and why they’re special to them. E.g. my grandpa gave me his set of the Billabong books and I’m so glad that I liked them cause it gave us a talking point. I love that classics have such gorgeous editions 😍
I enjoyed The Curse of Chalion (I pronounced it Shall - ee- on, with accent on the first syllable) by Bujold, and Holes by Sachar. I'm looking forward to hearing what you thought of those two.
I've always pronounced the country's name in Bujold's 'The Curse of Chalion' as CHAY-lee-on. I've heard a different pronunciation, but I like my own best. I can't wait to see what you think of! I'm also curious to see what you think of Scalzi's 'Lock In', which I've heard good things about.
Hey Merphy. I know you've mentioned that you love Backman's books. I was wondering why you don't have A Man Called Ove or Britt Marie Was Here in your collection? Do you not care for those books or have you just not added them yet? They are the only 2 of his books I've read so far, looking forward to reading the rest.
Now that is how you FLEX. Well done Merphy. PS get some Riyria Revelations up there next year. Thanks for doing this, must have taken 147 hours of editing. 😎
You have the same collectors edition of Moby Dick that I have (and I have yet to read it too...and Even more ironically my grandparents got it for me when I was ten to prepare me to read more adult books...I'm now 33, haven't read it yet.)
I wonder if you have ever read the third book from the ink series? Inknight (I think it is called, but that is a direct translation to English). Nice tour by the way, thank you for putting so much time and energy into these things!
You're inspiring me to grow a collection of books! I mostly get books from the library but there is something about being able to own one that really makes my heart happy. Any tips on finding books cheap I would love to know!
Take your time with House of Leaves, at the beginning it's hard to get into rhythm, but once you let yourself go into the house it flows... and it's crazy :D
@@robpaul7544 I loved The Magicians, all three of the books. It's one of my favourite series. Norse Mythology is a 10/10 from the first page to the last and as far Neverwhere goes I loved it except the ending; I thought it was lacking and that there should have been more to the story. Fortunately we're getting a Neverwhere sequel next year.
Making this video must've been an exhausting task so thanks for the effort! If you don't mind me asking, are you planning on reading all of your TBR books or will you unhaul/pass some of those?
Thank you so much for making this video Merphy! I understand it's probably incredibly time-consuming, but I find it interesting to see the books you've decided to keep. Have you ever read the Cat Royal series, The False Prince or Heist Society?
oh, very excited for you to read the magicians! unsure if it's something you'd really love but personally that's a series that was very impactful for me :)
Super interested to see how you read All the Light We Cannot See. It's a real love-hate book (as far as I've noticed) and I'd love to hear your opinion on it
I finished 'A wise man's fear' not long ago and watched your review on it. I really liked your honesty and you've pointed things out I didn't even notice which gave a fresh perspective. I know you didn't think it was as good as the first, but have you considered reading 'The slow regard of silent things' ? It's also by Partick Rothfuss, it's quite short but I'd love to see what you think.
Have you not finished the life as we knew it series? You only had one of the books mentioned. I only ever read books 1 - 3 , I didn't even know a fourth one existed until just now. Anyways I hope you've read and reviewed them, it's a fantastic series.
Have you read any Scalzi yet? I see Lockin on your tbr. I remember enjoying it. Really liked Redshirts but I think it was more the clever spoof on Star Trek that got me. I also organize by genre, then alphabetical by authou. Too much of a librarian to do it any other way. Lol
It took me awfully long to realise why this one Harry Potter edition of the first book looked so familiar. I own "Der Stein der Weisen" like three times...🤦♀️ It's the classical german HP cover.
I love your bookshelf. I am glad to see Poe get some love. Did I miss it, or did you not give Tom Sawyer a rating? Also, no Tad Williams :(. Neverwhere is so good!
Hi, I'm new to your channel but I like what I've seen so far! Your collection includes some of my favourite books, but I don't see any Terry Pratchett. He was my favourite author, although I didn't love every one of his books. Do you like non-fiction? I read one called The Power of Habit by Charles Duhigg that I would recommend. Anyway, I am looking forward to subscribing and trying some of your recommendations. Cheers!
You are the first person i see that have the 'Green Rider' book from Kristan Britain. I loved that book :D i think its totally underrated ^^ how would you rate it if you read it?

What?! Why wouldn’t people like them?! I love them!!
I feel even more broke than I did 10 minutes ago.
This is the second time I've seen my book, Secrets of the Runestones, on your channel, and I am super happy about it. I can't wait for you to read it!

Is it wrong that I read "Be prepared for a book full of trash humans whenever you get to Wuthering Heights" in Scar's voice?

I cant wait to hear about Wuthering Heights. One of my faves!
Beautiful books on beautiful book shelf’s . Good reading boos. Enjoy xxx
The Count of Monte Cristo is one of my all time favorite books. I have read it 5 times, and each time it is amazing.
I loved how you gave your star ratings for every book, it was a nice and quick way to gather how you felt about them!
Your book shelf / room is my dream place to live !

Unbroken is the only book that has kept me up at night because I couldn't put it down. Unbelievable book.

I never knew you were a CALVIN AND HOBBES fan! You should do a review of the whole series!
Amazing bookshelf! I imagine mine would look something like that.
Great Bookshelf👍! I have Treasure Island on my TBR as well. Give me a months heads up when your going to start it so I can catch up to you.
You should add The Scarlet Pimpernel to your TBR list, if you haven't read it already. It's a wonderful classic.
The Inheritance Cycle is a series that I also have no idea how I would review anymore...loved the first two books when I was a teenager but I'm afraid to go back because I know they won't hold up XD
