Hi I'm have been hunting some public land by me house and I have see 10 to 12 doe every time I go hunting I really trying to shoot my first buck but the one buck I have see was a 1.5 year old small 7 point that is not legal to shoot in Texas what do you suggest I should do Thanks
So, if you aren't seeing bucks now you have two options. One is to keep tabs on the does and wait until the rut. But the other option would be to do some in season scouting and try to find where they're located. Look for buck sign like rubs and big tracks, but also use maps and try to be aware of areas where they might be less pressured. Good sign doesn't do any good if it's made after dark. When I'm trying to get on bucks, I move around a lot until I start to pinpoint an area and then systematically try to pick it apart one sit at a time
@@DIYSportsman I am hunting a lake side And its 100 Acres Max and the place I'm hunting there is a concrete plant on one side and a highway on the other unfortunately you cannot hunt there after bow season I can hunt up to November 3 I now there are some decent sized bucks I have found a 10 point shed and a 8 point point shed both full sets I set a trail camera out last week and I have pictures of the eight point but only at dark I live in a small town and and as far as I know there is only one other person hunting it Thanks any help would be appreciated
I'm working on it don't worry! Been buried with playing catch up at work after the challenge. Been able to get out a couple evenings but it's like trying to learn a new pattern each time. I think by the end of October I'll have enough content for some new hunting vids.
I like the fact that you are hunting public land. We have very similar situations here and private land owners will not give you permission to even walk on their side of the fence which reduces effort, quietness of approach etc. I find it extremely hard to carry all my lonewolf assault , sticks, rifle, other gear and then bushwack into a good position, setup and then walk out in the evening in the dark. Infact you are pretty much the only guys I actually see doing it on youtube.
Yea it's a totally different style than I think a lot of guys are used to. By this point, I've been doing it for so long it's the only style that feels "normal".
Noticed the new Dodge. Would love to see a video on it and what your thoughts are! Anyways... that's hunting sometimes a great plan needs a little luck to work. Keep up the sweet vids! Thanks

I've done a hundred hunts with the same results. Right place, wrong time. The suspense in this series was fantastic!

I seriously love ur setup. Between sitting and standing, i do stand a lot more then i do sit. I feel slow if i see a deer coming when i am sitting.
