One of the best explanations of this topic I’ve ever seen! I do this now naturally when I play, but man if I had this video when I was learning it would have saved so much time lol Be blessed brother 🙏🏾
My brother well done, I wish I could of played like that 35 years ago. I grew up in the 80's and 90's when musicians never showed you what they know. I was stuck on 3 chords progression, and I lost interest. I bought a piano to learn how to play again, but when I hear you and other musicians play, it scares me to start playing again. I'm 63 years old now and just to play "for you I am praying" real well like you I will feel great. Continue to bless others as well as myself.
Wow you've been around lol thanks a lot for appreciating my work 🙏🏻. I appreciate you sir. Il keep doing the best I can to add some value to as many that need what I can offer. You are spot on with the older musicians; they never really shared their "secrets" and when I was learning how to play there wasn't the internet so I would go to the library to find sheet scores of the hymns I wanted to play at the time. Now the internet has all the information we need at our finger tips. Please feel free to let me know if there is any tutorial you would like for me to do for you or if there are any grey areas in your playing you would like me to address. Bless your heart.
I started playing almost 2 years ago. I'm 66. At 12 years old, I played in 2 of my sister's weddings. As I took a greater interest in getting better, I was told by people in my family that boys were not supposed to play piano. I'm committed to doing this. It's requiring a lot of time and patience but I'm committed to doing this at an advanced level. I pray there was something I shared this has caused you to do learn the piano. Blessings 🙏🏾
My goodness! "Boys are not supposed to play piano"? There has to be some other reason they didn't want you to play lol. Its very inspirational that you picked up playing the piano again after all those decades. Its never too late to learn any musical instrument. I'm also a saxophone instructor and I've got a 72 yo student has who started playing the alto and tenor saxophones. Keep practicing one exercise at a time and you'll be amazed at the tremendous improvements in your playing. Many thanks for sharing. Blessings!🙏🏻
Same here. I am from ‘75 and paid in the early ‘90s a lot of money to get taught the bare minimum. Now I subscribed to this channel and it feels like the heaven broke open to me.
Wow! Am deeply glad that my channel struck a pleasant chord within you. Means a lot. Many thanks 🙏🏻. You've been around way before people like me came into the scene 😅

Hello brother, greetings from Nigeria. I'm glad I came across your channel, I'm an advanced beginner guitarist with basic piano knowledge. Coming across your videos has helped me understand certain concepts like reharmonization better on guitar. I try to adapt your teachings on my guitar, and it has really been helpful especially with going solo on chord melody. Your channel is one of the best gospel music education channels I've seen, you're doing a great job. God bless you....❤️
Appreciate you my brother. You are very kind. I am deeply glad that my channel has added value and color to your playing on not just the piano but the guitar as well. Thats very intelligent on your part - applying piano concepts to your stringed instrument. You are blessed forever. Enjoy!
Would definitely do 👌🏼. I've actually done a whole lot of worship passing chords tutorials you could binge. Checkout my REHARMS CONCEPTS & PIANO TIPS AND TRICKS Playlists. Enjoy! 👑❤
Got you fam. I actually have done a breakdown of this song. This is one small part of it th-cam.com/video/eBzzwFl0QEY/w-d-xo.htmlsi=bJmd3xxX5YOLrtTO Checkout my reharmonization playlists.
@@EasyKeysPiano I get you. If it's not extra work for you and you can add them that will be appreciated. It makes things easy. Sometimes maybe I wanna go back to a previous concept, I just tap on the time stamp and I'm there. Or maybe skip a concept that I may already know. It's just easy to move around!! If you can obviously.
@danieleoduro3829 Roger that my brother. Il definitely take that into consideration making especially longer tutorials. I appreciate the valued feedback 🙏🏻.
Absolutely fam ❤. Regarding embellishments or reharmonization, I've done dozens of tutorials on how to reharmonize any song and on any key. Checkout my "Reharmonization and breakdowns", "REHARM CONCEPTS" and/or my PIANO TIPS AND TRICKS" playlists.

"Deadly" 😅 Please don't be wary of me o lol. I appreciate you my brother 👊🏽👑
Great teaching. I also learned this from Jazz or any music it also allows for more left handed Chords
Spot on👌🏼. Chord leading frees the left hand to engage a variety of (even rootless)chord voicings. Many thanks 🙏🏻👑
