Much appreciated. One key thing to look out for in scoring songs is the "melody" of the song. The chords are usually based on the movement of the melody. The melody literally guides the chords as well as chord progression.

Many thanks fam 🙏🏻 The thing about gospel piano just like jazz piano is that they share pretty much the same concepts, however different approaches. There really isn't any "gospel chords" or "jazz chords" but the "gospel or jazz approach" to the music.

It depends on what chord degree that C or F# represents in the chord progression you're playing. For instance C is the Chord 5, if you're playing on the key of F. Now instead of playing a C chord you can substitute it for an F# chord. Hope this helps.

Basically a Tritone is 6 half steps from any note. Thus you can substitute any chord with its tritone chord. In this tutorial the 2 chord(F7) was substituted with the #5 chord(B7) on its way to the chord 5. The same can be done on any chord in a 251 sequence. Hope this helps.
