Good to see the completed product. I first worked on this bird back in 2007/08. It was literally a design in process with many interesting conversations on what it was to be and do. Great to see how it finally turned out.
I liked that anti vibration thing. Wouldve liked to know more about that. Cool function with tve ability to search fot specific circuit breaker very nice functions
New super huey no disrespect I'm an old Army crew chief and the huey was one of the helicopters I crewed this is simply a beautiful helicopter. Good luck getting certification in sure it will pass with flying colors.
@@DrKuh-cy7pj why? Do you have any inside knowledge here, or is it more a general assessment that the German government is unlikely to buy a brand new, probably expensive American helicopter? I wouldn't be so sure. The new 10 ton helicopter for the Federal Police will carry the GSG9 antiterror unit to work. They will have a say in the decision. And from what I can tell this product has a lot of features they might find interesting.
I'm a bit sceptical about the neck support compared to the S92, it looks a bit lacking. Also I would like to see a bit more relaxed seating position. I work at an offshore field with about 120 minutes flight time. During the late winter early spring we often experience that we have to return to shore due to fog or wind, that means a 3 hour round trip in full suit..
Fly by wire should bring an end to the days of balancing a marble on top of a bowling ball, the old way of flying and maintaining control of the helicopter.
This is the first Bell helicopter without chin windows on the nose, to allow the pilot to see under the helicopter. I guess they put cameras on top of the wrap around windshield?
Wait...Bell is capable of building a Helicopter without just recycling parts they have laying around from other old models? Looks like a Blackhawk and a S-92 had a love child...
It's going to be decades late into service. The AW139 is the leader in this size of helicopter. It has a huge user base, proven service record and plenty of certified pilots around. The 525 will struggle to gain customers and be profitable.
Awesome aircraft. You have nearly thought of everything. However I did not see a sectional or ELA displayed on the mfd. Will the 5000H display a sectional map and ELA chart? Please add a visible call button that can capture the pilots attention. Another cool feature would a function to identify cell towers for optimum cell phone reception (monthly subscription to WiFi is over $12000 a month).. I would love to see hover symbology when flying in the snow. I understand you have hover hold but I want to validate with velocity vectors. Have you considered soft detents for OEI conditions? This would prevent or warn the pilot if they are going to exceed a limitation without referencing the instrument panel and allowing them to fly the aircraft. Maybe throw a gps approach to hover to a point in case the pilot become incapacitated? Isolated heating and cooling controls for front and rear allowing the rear passengers to control their own environment. Can you share cruise speeds and fuel burn below 30 minute limits at sea level with max Gross weight?
I really don't get the cockpit door being that far back. The pilots have to either climb over the passenger to get in and out of their seat or ask the passenger to get out in order to get in or out of their seat. Really not practical at all. Also, the thickness of the seats are a waste of space. They're also way to short. The headrests are in passenger's necks, not supporting the actual head. 3 dB less noise than the S92 also isn't something to brag about, seeing how noisy the S92 is. Seems to me Bell is trying to mimic the EC175 (5 blades, automation etc) or the AW189. It's closer to being a AW189 than the EC175 and it's definitely not as advanced as the EC175, despite the fly by wire (which will still has to be proven, especially in an offshore environment) It's compared to the S92 a lot here, but it's neither that nor is it a EC175. The S92 is a way more practical and proven concept for offshore than the 525, especially the cabin, bagage bay, engines and MGB. Don't get me wrong, this seems like a great VIP helicopter or HEMS, but the S92 is a battle proven machine in the offshore environment. Bell has very little experience in offshore and I for one wouldn't want to fly a non proven helicopter, especially one that's fly by wire.
Also, the Lakota is actually built in America. That's another thing in defense contracts: if you are a big buyer, you can reap a lot of economic benefits from buying foreign products. Including preventing domestic suppliers from selling you crap. The Airforce could have a working tanker plane by now if the government hadn't acted against all reason. Really, don't hurt yourself.
Bell needs to immediately fire the geniuses who hired the film production company who then told these guys to present this helicopter in the manner of a 1950's TV commercial. Never insult the intelligence of your audience with bad acting. If you want to pretend like it's the 1950's then copy the Dragnet theme of questioning. Just the facts.
This guy's mustache is two snips away from turning our history books into a trilogy.
The 525 sounds like what we need to do our job. I've always liked the BELL HELICOPTERS. Their shape, their beauty, and of course, the bird itself.

When approval has to go thru a committee, it slows things down.
Nice product presentation and great insight on the innovative technologies Bell has put into the 525.
Hell yeah, I've been waiting for this video for a while!
I guess I'm kinda randomly asking but do anyone know a good place to stream new tv shows online?

I flew the simulator at the Paris air show in 2016, absolutely incredible aircraft the 525 is in affect continually in autopilot mode..

Arlington Texas? That's where Pantera were from. Beautiful helicopter.
Very impressive and modern. It's a flying Escalade!

New generation Airwolf looks awesome Bell!
Any public release on the conclusion of the accident with the prototype?
A great way to reduce pilot workload is display Sectional and ELA moving maps. Are these features offered on the Bell 525

Very nice, good job team bell

How about an upgrade version 21st century Airwolf.

One of the most beautiful helicopter out there with NH90 and Bell 360 Invictus.
The only obvious negative.... No finestrone 🤦♂️🤷♂️ Why ?

I think the 525 will go the same way a the 222

amazing bird...but why does everyone have to wear the same glasses ?
After seeing that a woman supervised part of this helicopter's design I would never ride in one.

It looks like an old helicopter of 70 ies with a nosejob. Is it some old Agusta they have built this on just to save money?
Got mine in blue
Did somebody say Helionix..................no? Hhhmmmmm
Most unflattering thumbnail for this helicopter
Some people wear masks...and some just don't need to.
I absolutely detest these scripted presentations. Also, did they REALLY need to wear safety glasses for this video?
SHOULDN'T BE SHOWING A DAMN THING TO EVERYONE, YOU NEVER SEE A CHINESE OR RUSSIAN SHOWING THE INSIGHT OF THEIR LATEST WEAPONS COCKPIT, BIG MISTAKE
