    Doing the same! Got a handful of planted tanks with Guppies, rams horns, and mysteries.
    I toss all my extra fish, snails, and plants into a 20L and do a store run about once a month. Literally you can break even doing this

      Yup! Once you play enough in this hobby, it naturally provides you with plants, fish, shrimp, and snails to sell online or locally. It’s pretty cool, all my other hobbies never made me money🤣. Just don’t step on the toes of the fish store owners by selling to their customers and you’ll have a great relationship with them.

    Good info, thank you! Is that a Sunfish at 4:05?
    😃👍

      @ssaquascapes  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Yes. Well, it’s what we call a Bream, Sunfish here are more colorful. He is now much bigger and really dark with some iridescent shimmer. Like a Warmouth.
      Either way, same general species in the “Bluegill” family. His tank mate, or rather his bully, is a Florida Hybrid Largemouth Bass. Both need rehoused soon. More recent videos on channel. Thanks for watching!

      Not as colorful. But he is still my little buddy. Very interactive. 😁

    Great video! I just started planting my 1yr old tank (more serious) and my ludwigias, rotala, bacopa, reinekeii are growing fast. I trade with my local fish shop for food, nutrients, more fish and even different plants. New subscriber👍🏼 best wishes brother

      Awesome! Thanks for the support. I'll be making an updated video on selling plants as I have learned a lot since this video. Still selling to the LFS but also on eBay now. My methods have changed a bit, but packaging for the LFS remains the same (they want nearly everything potted) :)

    Hi Mate,
    Great vid thank you. I was just wondering if your plants are in the grow out longer than you wanted do you trim the potted plants again?
    Great content as always.

      @ssaquascapes  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yes as they grow, trim and replant. I need to make another updated video as my operation has gotten much larger.

      @@ssaquascapes thank you. I’m in the process of setting up a large system myself. I’m doing an ebb flow system though and only growing the different species of Anubias, Buceaphalandra, Java ferns and a few other bits and pieces. If that’s successful I’ll look to doing some stems. I am going to grow Hygrophilla pinifitada but that’s because it’s my absolute favorite plant and can be grown as an epiphyte. I’ll keep an eye out for you r next vid.
      Great content mate.
      Regards Duzzy🇦🇺

    Did you use CO2 ?

    • @ssaquascapes
      @ssaquascapes  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yes. The grow out tank always has Co2 injection for rapid growth and less algae.
