I’d like to know...that shot @ 4:57, does that actually count? It appeared to me that it contacted more of the side of the table than the actual playing surface. I thought the ball had to hit the top surface of the table to be considered “in”? If that was considered in, a lot of those heavily angled shots from the side could be aimed deliberately at the side of the table offering the opposing player almost chance to return. I’m not accusing you of doing so, I am just curious what the rule is in this situation. Thanks!

That's in, because it hit the top edge of the table. You can tell because the ball went upwards after the hit. If it would've gone down, that wouldn't count. See th-cam.com/video/r3WqoGj5RwY/w-d-xo.html for an example where it goes down.
Following the rules, it was “out” as it hit the side of the table not the edge.
GooseBerry390 mentions the ball needs to go up to count as “in” but that’s not the case. In this specific case, the ball went up because it was coming from below the surface of the table. The video posted references the same situation but as an inverse. It was rightly called “out” because it was coming from above and it kept the same direction (going down). I wasn’t able to find an example of a ball coming from below the table that kept going up and was called “in” without clearly bouncing or “rolling” on the actual surface.

Very easy ! If snake with the forehand ball will go to the right " C "and to the left "A" with the backhand . It is natural that way in game , even you can do both ways in practice .
