What a delightful and classy people!
Sal Maggie did pitch a good game the next day. But Don Larson pitched a perfect game 10/8/56. Wow. I love this show.
Either the camera angle is too low or the chairs are way too law!
A pity Arlene is no longer with us and a pity that my vocabulary isn’t sufficiently broad to provide the encomium her graciousness, intelligence, beauty, charm and kindness deserve.
The thought is there, though. She was a wonder!
If she was still with us she'd be 115 years old. Sounds like a nightmare.

It's great seeing the famous guests. Phil Rizzuto. Great old Yankees pitcher. Nice fella.
He was their great shortstop, called "The Scooter". He was a wonderful guy. Also became one of their TV announcers for many years. He was very knowledgeable and humorous. His famous saying was "Holy Cow" when a great or unusual play happened. When the Yankees gave him a tribute day, they brought a live cow onto the field as a gag gift. He was scared to death of it 😂.
Rizzuto was a short stop
Rizzuto, as others have said, was a shortstop for the Yankees. He was the 1950 American League MVP. Until Derek Jeter came around, he was unquestionably the best in team history. Earlier that year (1956) the Yankees had unceremoniously dropped him from the team. The Yankees have a history of doing this to longtime employees.
I didn't know Anne Miller spoke Spanish.. cool!

As usual, Mr. Daly doesn't know when to shut his mouth and just allow the contestant to answer the questions.
Seems like the quality and editing used to be better.
I dislike the episodes where the celebrity guests are on the show concurrent with their having a movie, show or sporting event taking place
Ann Miller worked as a dancing 'showgirl' at 13 y.o. She had a fake birth certificate saying she was 18.
Shows like WML are money-making and advertising enterprises. Stars utilize them for the very purpose you are lamenting!
