Reading this makes me both happy and sad at the same time. So glad you found the channel and are loving it! 🥰 Hopefully I will in time be able to return to making videos. I miss everything about it and playing those sims so much! I've tried finishing the video I'm working on several times now and it just hasn't happened yet with everything else that is going on right now. I am 100% going to return though! Just can't say when at the moment. Riding the waves until it becomes calm again. In the meantime I hope you enjoy the videos that are on the channel right now and happy simming! ❤️
loving the new additions to the town. your handwriting is so neat, I'm jealous! it's so interesting to see all your spreadsheets and documents; you've really thought deeply about the challenge and that's super cool to see. I'm loving dogmeat! he's such a cute addition to the settlement. omg! brandi's expecting!?! i joked about it last time but now it feels too real omg.
I absolutely loveee your grungey, abandoned builds! The clutter is so cute and evocative (well, and gross lol 😆). yayy dogmeat is so cute! it's so fascinating watching you play and plan everything in your notebook, I love the mix of physical and digital media it's so cool!
Thank you so much! Yes, gross too, let's not forget that! 😂 It's honestly so fun making things messy! And I'm glad you enjoyed the behind the scenes part again. I've always planned stuff on paper and somehow always helps me think better than the digital sheets and statistics. (which I also really love, but after the planning phase 😊)
Thank you! ❤️ Happy to hear you enjoyed the first developments of the town! I can't wait to add in more, it was so fun finally seeing things come to life that have been on paper for so long. 🥰
You could put a tunnel entrance at the "failed" map exit, I think there's one in a MTS Criquette set. Or you could fix the SC4 and use Hoodreplace to replace only the roads.
I think is so cool how you make the "placeholding" items that work as materials to be exchange for other things... My favorite couple ❤ moving to make their 5 trillion children. Expectantion X Reality They are looking better then my settlers living underground, thou
😂😂😂 Yeah... 😇 Chores are still number one priority for them. 😁 It did catch me by surprise though. When I started this challenge I only thought about the difficulties they could face in winter with the cold, never even considering the heat strokes in summer. We'll need a better source of water soon, so they can cool themselves off at least.
Ahhh I just finished the episode!! I just loved this one, it was so exciting to see the progression of the town and getting that cabin from John and Brandi felt like such a HUGE moment and achievement!!! (I really want to try this challenge but honestly I'm terrified lol... And don't really have time hahaha) Loved the toilet block scavenging lot, that was another really cool one. I was actually thinking to myself right as you said it, that it would be good to build all of the scavenging lots a long time before you scavenge them so you kind of forget what's there. Also well done John on his chat with Eli, that went so well. Heatstroke is no joke, that can be a real challenge in my medieval gameplay too. And lastly... AWWW, NOOBOO!!!!!
@@TeaAddict Ah, I'm glad it did feel like an achievement! It sure did when playing the challenge. They worked so hard for this! 😅 The next ones will have the same requirements, but it will be a bit easier with more survivors and higher skills now than at the beginning. Yeah, I know how that feels. It was your Hansen River that pushed me over the edge to design a variation on the BACC. And specifically that one house, I think in the first tour? Where you showed all they had at the beginning was that room that is now the hallway. And I think they had a garden and did woodworking? That feeling of starting out with nothing and letting them expand their homes sounded so fun and rewarding. And I remember being like "ok, so now I have to have a BACC I guess." 😂 Ofcourse filming at the same time as playing slows down progress so much! But it's worth it since I really enjoy sharing the episodes here. Another idea I had for the scavenging lots would be to let someone else fill them up with clutter. Or maybe let someone else build them entirely? But then again, I'm so much of a control freak and really specific about what items can and cannot be there, I wouldn't even know how to get that going. But maybe that's something that would work for you? But building them and filling them up beforehand definitely helps! I'm working on the second subhood right now and it will take us some time to get there. 😊 I do have designated trash folders, separately from better deco stuff. That also helps, I don't really get tempted to put the good stuff in. I did set up that idea of which lots have which basic supplies right at the beginning, before I started playing. So there's no room to cheat some more coffee in if they need that. Those restrictions really help. And for some reason this really helps: having a space in their family name prevents me from using the familyfunds cheat, which helps me to be more creative with stuff like losing the tent. It would be really fun to see what your run of the challenge would look like! But I can also definitely understand that now is already filled up with so many other things! ❤ One of my things on my to do list is to share the challenge on Tumblr. That will hopefully make it easier for other people to play this challenge too and make adjustments when wanted. But all my spare time has gone into making the videos in these last few weeks. Still one of the first things I'll do when I get the chance though.
@@StoriesNStrategy oh that's so lovely to hear that my Hansen Farm inspired the challenge!! Yeah that's the main farmhouse you were talking about, the one room that is now the entry foyer 😂 it's SO much fun to see the family expand and succeed! Honestly the main things holding me back from trying this challenge myself are 1) time, of course, yes, but hopefully I'll be back to recording content really soon if everything goes to plan with putting Aidan into childcare, and then 2) building the downloads folder 😂😂 I'd want to have all of the "wrecked" post apoc stuff and that would be a whole thing haha. If you have any good creator recommendations... Send them my way. And then YES that's such a great idea to have someone else decorate the scavenging lots?!! 🤯 Would again be tricky with downloads folders but like... Idk, that would be super fun. Really excited to see the challenge on Tumblr when you have time to do it. Can't wait for the next episode! ❤️
@@TeaAddict If I would have to name one creator right now, it would definitely be Aviolina and their Silent Hill stuff. (I took out the really bloody and creepy parts, because they freaked me out. 😅) But I'll see if I can make a good list with working links and add it on Tumblr. All the good stuff is really old and I really went down a rabbit hole when searching for this stuff. Will take some time to re-find those links again. Initially I also thought I was going to play this privately, so I didn't think about making notes about the stuff I found.
What a cool episode! I really love the cute warehouse building you have. Have I got it right that it will be owned by John, and when you need other sims to take something from it, you'll temporarily load John's household at this lot, and give out the stuff like that? I assume that otherwise, the changes for the lot will not be changed. Sorry if I have missed an explanation of how that's gonna work 😅 The dogmeat reference!!! 🐕🦺💙 And how cool was it to see all the items for the new house laid out like that, I could really picture their cabin being assembled from that. I admire your patience in doing all that, I am way lazier 😂 For a moment, though, I was expecting you to use the bed and other furniture pieces as is rather than sell them. Using them would probably be cheaper, wouldn't it? 🤔 Can't wait to see the progress on the house and the rest of the community!
Thank you! Yes, exactly! The changes won't save and they would get an infinite amount of resources. Which might be interesting down the line, for some tedious stuff, but it would feel OP to do it now. So either I'll load John's household for the time that others need to get stuff from the warehouse, or I'll make everything for sale, but really cheap. That last one would also mean John doing some "bookkeeping" for the inventory being taken, which takes time. And if I load John's household, I will send the ones visiting on a hiking trip or something, because I do want it to cost some time for them to go to the warehouse. The second and third set of crafting items should go faster, now that everyone has some more skills and we have more survivors. If they don't suffer from the heat strokes all the time that is! That's definitely going to be the new challenge! 😄 Yes, Dogmeat! We had to add him. ❤️ I guess the crafted items would be cheaper yes, but I don't really like how they look. So I wanted some freedom in decorating the cabins and decided to trade them in instead. But the original plan was definitely to use the crafted items! It does make a lot of sense to do that. Hoping to return to the challenge soon! 😊
Finally I found you channel back!!!!!! Please go back to yt soon, I've been looking for your videos for months and now I had found it!
