I am Italian and can confirm that I thought “what are you doing” when you pan fried the gnocchi, 😂 but I’m glad you liked them!! Theoretically gnocchi should be cooked in the same way as pasta: put them in boiling salted water and wait for them to come to the surface (takes only a couple of minutes), then remove from water and add tomato sauce/pesto/whatever. Gnocchi are amazing, I hope you’ll try them in an Italian restaurant! Love from Italy x
You can bake the spaghetti squash, remove the seeds, then use a fork to pull out the inside. It's stringy and looks like spaghetti. Eat it with your favorite pasta sauce, salt & butter or oil & vinegar. As for the fennel, cut the roots off, then wash it & slice it up and you can eat it raw. My daughter's Italian born mother in law serves it after dinner. It's got a slight anise/licorice flavor and is known to aide digestion. I bet your Mom would like it.
Spaghetti squash is actually pretty nice with different kinds of sauces because it doesn't have much of a flavour on its own. I'd never eat fennel raw though, it's like celery to me, can't eat it raw either. But fennel is delicious in soups and stews. I love the licorice-like flavour 😋
You need to try Gnocchi at an Italian restaurant!!!! So good🥰 I feel like there’s a big difference between the ones at the supermarket and the ones in a restaurant

@17517319 I never was much of a fan of carrots either until I had them at a restaurant a few years back where they were PROPERLY cooked with amazing seasoning! It turns out pretty much every vegetable is amazing as long as it’s cooked and seasoned properly! This restaurant cooked these baby carrots to perfection to where they weren’t too soft and not too hard, and they were roasted with a ton of butter and loads of minced garlic and some other seasonings I wish I knew (probably had some MSG on it, because I honestly could inhale 10 tons of them if given the option, and I know MSG will do that to ya lol!). It was at an Italian restaurant. They cooked the fresh green beans the same way, with the same seasonings. DELISH!

An old friend introduced me to something her dad called a Stottie (i dunno if it is, i've heard the term used for other things too). So you get your potato cakes, you slather on some butter, microwave for about a min, put on some ham, then some cheese, pop it back in to melt the cheese... And then she said to add sweet chilli sauce. I was really sceptical, but i actually really love it :D
I think I am doing some kind of reversal to childhood. I have taken an aversion to eggs, for some reason, and I used to love hard boiled eggs, but now the most I can do is scrambled, and those not often. I am also seeing changes in other foods as well with me. And veggies are getting hard for me to feel excited about. I guess I need to work on that......
Starting to be vegan has helped me with this issue. I got so much more excited to try new veggies, recipes ect. There is so much amazing food out there from all over the world to try!!😍
I was just thinking about this last night and how the problem with english/american vegetables is we literally just take vegetables and throw them on the side of the dish. most other cultures incorporate them INTO the dishes. you should try that more, if you haven't, like curries, vegetable risottos, stir-fried meals, bibimbap... if you look to other cultures, the opportunities are endless.
I can't eat hard boiled eggs (or soft boiled, for that matter) because if the yolk is not mixed in, I don't know what to do with it. It's awkward. I have nightmare feelings about gritty egg yolk on my tongue.... I'm fine with deviled eggs, because the yolks are made into a creamish sort of thing. But even then, I'm on again, off again with eggs....
@@EmilyKinny I learn a lot about cooking just by watching people from other cultures cook (on TH-cam, mostly.) I used to think that "real curry" must be complicated, and it really isn't. It's more a matter of, "oh, this looks good, think I'll throw it in...."

"They didn't have any potato cakes."---- serious chicky---- MAKE THEM 🤣
I grew up eating mint oreos and I'm so glad to see you liked them!!
Happy belated birthday to Chloe!! 🎉❤️
Yellow kiwis are so good!
Im so offended by how you opened that bag of popcorn😩
I love you Grace soooo much! I wish I had your metabolism!! I have never seen anyone eat as much as you and, stay skinny, YOU LUCKY GIRL!!😚❤
when you tried the popcorn at 6:51 it reminded me of when brittany broski tries kombucha :D
"Peace out. A town"
Me: *in Atlanta* "wait... A town? thats me"
Fennel is great in pasta sauce Grace!! In combination with courgette, carrot, onion and tomatoes it makes for such a lovely pasta sauce :)
Are you pregnant? 😂
Mint oreos are the best!!! Mint oreo ice cream is on another level!!!
Your excited ‘you wanna try some gnocchi?’ and your dad just giving you the least excited ‘no’ had me wheezing.
Your random outburts are the best, its the cherry on top.x
You could easily grow squash including spaghetti squash in your yard.. so easy to grow
A Welsh cake is more cold with a cup of tea but they do taste awesome freshly cooked warm but usually cold like a cake biscuit! Xlove it when you try new stuff- I live through you then as I don’t like what you buy but would love to like it! The faces you pull when you assess if you like stuff or not a awesome! Luv ya hun! You da boss!😎😎😎👏💞
