Roosters in the Frost - Iowa Pheasant Hunting

The crew sets out in the frost covered landscape in search of late season roosters. Fresh tracks are a clear sign that birds are around. Numerous tracks means we are in for a good day. After some long retrieves on wounded birds, and multiple flushes of tight holding hens, we witness our largest flush of wild birds of the season. The birds, the dogs, and the scenery all made this a hunt to remember.

Gotta love those frosty mornings, before it burns off. I like the truck bed drawers too, I did something similar. Matter of fact I just added to mine, might do a quick video on it in the next week or so.

Fantastic shooting!! 😆 Nah, you can't shoot 'em if you don't pull the trigger. And roosters rarely play nice; sometimes less cooperative than others. Nice hunt!!
