He wanted to leave working life withing the family and the Queen talked him out of it and told him he was a huge asset to the royal family. Harry is very much his mother's son and has the same personality. He didn't know how to leave on his own and Meghan showed him a way out and it went from there. Leaving is not all Meghan's fault, it was a joint effort from both of them. Harry was nervous about it but time will tell if it works out. He could have done the same with Chelsea Davy but the timing was wrong. sad all round really. Harry really loved Chelsea and she came from Africa which he loved.

I read in here where that first marriage happen while she was a teen still in high school and pregnant by one of her boyfriends. I don't think the Royal Family is so very close-minded to not adapt to most of the changes in accepting MM. Our Queen even broke custom the first Christmas by welcoming her over the holidays. I understand that William voicing his concern to Harry caused a riff between the brothers. However, any loving family member would voice concern if they thought a loved one is possibly making a mistake. The one thing that is very revealing is the way Harry, then Meghan reacted to those concerns. When someone is confident they are making a good decision they give that loving family member reassurance and thank them for their concern. They don't get mad at them. And as far as Meghan, if she had nothing to hide and had pure intentions she wouldn't had caused a divide between brothers, she would have told Harry that William was just being protective and quietly went about proving the naysayers wrong by doing her duties and being a loving wife and mother.
