I loved the tutorial. I didn't know the XCS was free so I will look at it. I am starting a makerspace in my library this year... I have a couple of cricut machines, but would like a glowforge or xtool. Do you have ideas of pros and cons? Do you have any tutorials that are like @makersgonnalearns 30 days to get your cricut out of the box for the xtool?
I just purchased an Xtool P2, so I’m a newbie. I’ve seen a lot of videos on how to use the software and by far this is the best explained video I’ve have seen. It helped me so much. Thank you! For making these videos :)
Great video and Happy 12th Birthday to your son! I’m sure he is going to love his cake. I was drooling just watching this. 😂Thanks for sharing. I just got the Xtool M1 Ultra and would like to know if I can cut the black and gold acrylic you used for this video with it. Thank you
Hello! Thank you for the birthday wishes. You can cut black acrylic on your m1ultra but not mirror acrylic. You may want to checkout this video that I did testing out all acrylics on my m1 ultra: th-cam.com/users/live2E-Da8Sip48?feature=share
I wish my hubby would build one for me 😆. Do you still have the plan for the shelving? I watch an old video of yours but I couldn't find the link to the plan.
How do you manage the smell of the m1 ultra when cutting wood? I have the desktop purifier and still vent it outside and the smoke buildup in the machine itself is still kind of a lot to take. Any tips?
this may sound like a stupid question but are you sure the desktop purifier is turned on? I know with the P2 I had to manually go into my settings and toggle that I was using a purifier for my purifier to work. If it is working, and you're still getting buildup your filter may be clogged (i clogged my filter and filled my entire craftroom up with smoke it was really bad, even though I was still venting out of a window). the other thing is before you open the lid to your machine, make sure all the smoke is cleared from your laser before opening the lid. This will help keep the smoke from entering your room.
@@ashleefalco it is turned on high but I’m wondering if I should’ve gotten the smoke purifier like you have and not the desktop. Filter is clean, I’m just bummed you can’t use the inline fan as well as the purifier, I feel like that would solve my problem but they said that could break the purifier. I’m going to try just an in-line fan and venting it outside but it’s such a pain lol I wish they would upgrade the built in fan that attaches to the back
@@VictoriaBraat-g5v I don't think you can use the same filter as the P2 on the M1 ultra. But TBH I prefer to just vent out of a window versus using the filters.
So yesterday, taking my fine point tool out of my M1 Ultra module I stabbed my index finger. That sucker IS sharp. I should know better with all the Cricut blades I have changed over the years. What a mess! Dripping blood all over my cardstock. YUCK! Loved your special effects of crying mom in this video!
Are you going to start using Xtool Creative Space?

Great video. I just discovered you and I’m glad I did. Thank you 😊
I'm glad you did too!
Hello Ashley.. I'm admiring the cutting machine rack behind you. Is that custom made?
Hello!
Yes, my husband built that off of a drawing I made him.

I’m so jealous 😂 you have all the cool toys 😅
I don't have all the cool toys ... yet LOL

Question, do you know how to lock the font on the XTool design space?
What do you mean by locking?

Ouch Donna! You gotta be careful! Those blades will cut you good, I got bitten up by the rotary tool recently 🫣
