Man the 90's camera is giving me such crazy nostalgia. I was born the same year as the videos you're recreating, 1996! That's wild, I have an older brother so I was always into what he was into which is why I'm so nostalgic for 90's things that were big even years before I was born lol. And when my brother and I got into THPS when it came out, we would try to catch any kind of skateboarding on TV that we could. Sometimes old video parts recorded with similar 90's home video tape recorders would show up on tv. Man, home videos used to have such a surreal feel to them with the older cameras' qualities. Nowadays every family has a 4k camera somewhere and can capture their memories like a movie director. Back then you had to fight the audio quality, the lighting which would always look bad on camera no matter what you did, the fuzzy outlines of low definition video, and many times had to fight with the tape itself, whether it wants to overheat for filming so long or the ribbon gets tangled, or you accidentally over-exposed the ribbon to light. It's crazy how just in one lifetime technology has evolved so exponentially.
