THANK YOU! for posting this movie. This is one of the best forgotten made for TV movies out there. I had a hard time looking for this a few years ago.😊❤
yes truly. and I wonder had he married her before he was crowned king, then they would have had a son together to inherit the throne. thanks in His amazing grace, forgiven in His friendship the King of Kings. peace in heart
I really like Keira Knightley as a actress. I liked her more in pride and prejudice, only because that is my favorite. Great movie, think you for the share.
Keira knightley's version of Pride and prejudice is the only one I like to watch. I love to watch that and little women when its raining or around christmas time.. lol.. I also like anne of green gables.
The word that strikes me most is when Keira quoted that one man's desire should not be the cause of another man's pain. It's really difficult to give up one's love because you both realized it is forbidden. Gwen has bowed to serve the King forever as long as He lives. As well as King Philip bowed his love to Gwen all his life. I love it... I wish to have Gwen's and the King's loyalty and love for the man I love even how hard and difficult it should be. I must love the man I love as the King. As my highness. Serve him forever.
in this story they made robin's daughter a commoner.. when in truth Robinhood and Lady marianne(mother) came from a noble family of wealth and title.. only then robin choose to live amongst commoner and became a thief as well as protector. they stole money from feudal lords for the poor..
Wow..!! 🤩 A neat piece of history to take into account here, ..huh..? Think that’s an important detail all should know as we watch this movie..!! So..! In turn we can see how the self-sacrifice on both ends was without a true basic cause…!! 🙄🧐
I honestly love this movie so much, I remember I picked it up at the library one day to see how bad it was and I was pleasantly surprised! this is a masterpiece
Enjoyed every bit of this movie, every positive attribute of Robinhood, his daughter, King Richard, Prince Philip and several others should be emulated in the every day like
@@michaeladekunle3857 Except that the history is fabricated. John became King. Philip the bastard of Cognac never did anything known, certainly not a king. (Well, his uncle King John gave him 50 marks.) Robin Hood is a tall tale rewritten many times for entertainment and shouldn't be confused with history.
It’s not a bad movie seen worse there were a few actors that could have been better in the movie at the time it still holds up for it’s time I have this movie on DVD part of my collection Robin Hood movies if they did a remake of this movie.

I can understand Robin wants to keep her safe but he hasn't been father of the year if he is constantly disappearing for years. I can't blame her for being upset. Especially if he says hi and bye
The Robin Hood shows that I’ve seen Robin‘s father was a noble man with lots of land and they stole it why he became 😮 Robin Hood, Prince of thieves.😊😊
Actually, I think the more accurate depiction of how the man became the legend, is shown in Russell Crowe's "Robin Hood", where the origin story of how Robert Longstride became the fake son, Robert Loxley (the real Robert, being killed, and Longstride bringing a sword back to his father, Walter Loxely), in order to hold on to the family's land holdings and THEN the actions of King John's men and the notorious Sheriff of Nottingham force the "Robin Hood" scenario. Excellent movie and available free here as well.
Gwenn could hardly be considered a commoner. Her father was a son of lord who was murdered and had his land stolen from him, and her mother was a member of the royal court, a ward of King Richard.
Well they didn't eat high fructose junk, sugary pocessed foods, tho lots of roughage, raw real nutritious foods from the Earth, lots of herbs, grapes, whole nonGMO grains, non hormone injected wild & grass fed meats, no floride or chem trails, no synthetic meds, no industrial/traffic fumes & air pollution-> raw fruits- and - they fasted for health(most not voluntarily)lol, home made pure wines & ales, raw milk/cheeses/butter and honey...!
This was a wonderful movie to watch! I loved the ending as well all though sorta sad as in way how we wanted it to end but the ending was perfect!! Thank you for sharing.
The word "lame" comes to mind. Often painful to watch. Keira Knightley was only sixteen, here. This was a TV movie, made for ABC and The Wonderful World of Disney. It came out the year before Bend it Like Beckham.
Why do they always write it so that the loyal male friend always gets rejected and the riff raff sleeping with multiple women gets the best girl. I hate it when they do that because it makes loyalty looks wrong. The stupid girl falls on the first stranger she meets, all women are not that gullible.
It was a tv movie yes, it aired on an ABC program called wonderfull world of Disney where they showed Disney movies I guess. I only found it because I liked some movies Keira Kneightly plays in, I read that this was her first bigger role.
I remember this as an ad that played on some late VHS and early DVDs. Never got to see it until now! I would have liked to see a crossover adventure of Drew Barrymore's Danielle of Ever After and Kiera Knightly's Gwynn from this.
So much so that this is movie rather than a fight for the survival of life...If we had not fought for our own self then we wouldn't have thought for ourselves also...The queen, princess showed it on her own way👍
I remember the day I was listening to a Chinese emotional song. I listened to it with all my soul and heart till I cried.... Only for someone to tell me the song was talking about agriculture.😭😭.
And they all lived happily ever after, Sort of...Closely Fallowed, and Called out great moments from the old Disney Cartoon. 🎯 No big budget extravaganza Arrival of King Richard . and not enough Will Scarlet. Still maybe watch it again in a few years.

Ms. Knightly has been supremely blessed, not just with beauty and grace far beyond than of mortal women, but with the most perfectly proportioned neck, which her beautiful face adorns with majesty and intelligence. Anything Ms. Knightly stars in will always be watchable, for every moment she is on the screen, every word she speaks, the tilt of her head, her glowing skin and bone structure, and yes, her perfect lower lip made so irresistibly kissable by the sweetest and imperfect underbite, reminding us that she is only human, and therefore in need of love and care just like the rest of us. Thank you Kiera, for all you've given us over the years.
It becomes a stupid move because it dwells on gender equity without the leading role, demonstrating a vigorous discipline in mastering her skill in fighting and achieving her father mastery being Robin hood.

My friend, how can i download the movie, but with Costner, would you be so kind and tellme how
I liked this movie, nothing fancy just a nice movie, and best of all for such a movie, rated for children
Same with "Every after" played by Drew Berrymore
We need more good 'ol movies. times.
Film shot in Romania, woods near Bucharest. I know because I was there, playing a small part. Great experience!
How wonderful for you!
Nice to know this wonderfull movie was filmed in my country❤
Wow
What part did u play tho?

Never thought i would found a good movie.... Gwyn is sooo beautiful, courageous and strong... Their love story was for all the love of people....
I love the way they filmed the progression from her adolescence to adulthood within a minute💕.

I really like Keira Knightley as a actress. I liked her more in pride and prejudice, only because that is my favorite. Great movie, think you for the share.
yes!
She is hugely talented, there must be a reason why she is by far the highest paid English actress.
What??
You only liked pride and prejudice because she was in it or the other way around??
What you said doesn't really make much sense.
Typos??
Keira knightley's version of Pride and prejudice is the only one I like to watch. I love to watch that and little women when its raining or around christmas time.. lol.. I also like anne of green gables.
This was a practice round for her brilliant performance in Pride and Prejudice four years later, I think.

Surprisingly touching. Gwyn carried it for me, and Philip came out well. Thanks. 😊
Keira, what beauty, what acting, what intelligence in her eyes
This is my favourite Robinhood movie. The two actors are my favourite. I watch this movie many times.
The restraint of the sheriff is the worst job of tying someone up I have ever seen. Can't imagine what they were thinking.
Haha! I always thought that!😂
Had hands & feet tied too = looped around the big rope...!
Gen Z never learnt to tie knots.
The tree was tide up firmly.
Cry every time. Thank you for posting. 🥺❤️
Me too
Thank you for sharing the movie with us 😃
molto piacevole da vedere, questa versione diversa dal classico Robin Hood che non avevo mai visto. Grazie per la visione.
A wonderful production and there is just something of these old stories, of Robyn Hood and Lyttle John that is just brimming with meaning.
Her Father is Sir Robin of Loxley so she is not a commoner she is a noble woman: Lady Loxley.
Yeah but i dont think u get the SIR title@51countrymix
You forgot he got stripped off his nobility?
@@Vhybzbeats But the king had the power to reinstate his lands and titles.
If Kiera Knightly is in a movie, I'm going to watch it. Period!
I enjoyed this movie i remember watching it way back when it came out and still enjoyed it again. thank you.

My family was given Church Lawton in 1066..

A favorite type of movie in my childhood days....archery, fencing where we used to play. Those were the days... From a late septuagenarian.😊😊😊😊😊
It's a bit silly and improbable, but I rather enjoyed it. Kiera was already a fierce creature at 15, fun to watch.

I'm sure this movie wasn't historically accurate on many points, but I like it a lot anyway, especially Miss Knightly's performance.
Finally a film 🎥 I could watch longer than 10 mins
What is the reasons you're couldn't watch other films
All movies before 2014
"I'm surrounded by idiots!" 🤣And ironically he does look like Scar from Lion King 😄
well seen
This one of my favorite Keira Knightly's movies. I thought it was well done and the cast did a great job.
It's a bummer that society dictated that they could not have their love as a couple. This is beautiful all the same
All Philip had to do was raise Robin of Loxley to a noble rank for services rendered, his daughter would no longer be common.
Really enjoyed this movie. Thank you for the upload.
I can understand Robin wants to keep her safe but he hasn't been father of the year if he is constantly disappearing for years. I can't blame her for being upset. Especially if he says hi and bye
He was neglectfull father because only king and England mattered for him.

Good movie. Hard to believe Keira Knightley was 15 when they filmed this
A charmer. Actually, a REAL charmer. Thanks.
Gwenn could hardly be considered a commoner. Her father was a son of lord who was murdered and had his land stolen from him, and her mother was a member of the royal court, a ward of King Richard.
I was thinking along those lines, but couldn't remember the lineage
I personally rate this movie at a 9.99 , just because I have a daughter that goes against me for the right reasons, and she usually wins.
