HOLY SHIT! Another Lars guide. Usually one guide is all we get from most players but you gave us another one. This time for mixups and how to utilize the stances. Lots of good info, Greatly appreciated as always. Thank you for giving us a 2nd guide

Dude I literally just went back and forth in ranked matches losing and winning, just to stay in the same place after like 20 matches because I was getting pressed on. I thought I knew my problem (Being ignorantly aggressive) and yes that is the problem but I never knew in which way. You just reminded me that I can cancel going into stance, that was my main problem because I would force myself into den or sen on low hp and get mashed out of my stance because im minus. I even watch my replays to try and find the problem but you just helped me greatly. I appreciate it.

This 18:12 is why you are my favorite Lars player. I've seen some really good players being too stiff with his movement for how i like to play. Also this is useful even in low ranks because they don't know what they're doing and if you back away and don't let them hit you they become impatient very quickly and it's much easier beating them when they start throwing themselves at you. It happend to me with Bryan and it's hilarious how crazy they get when they can't touch you. Also thank you for this guide not only it's extremly useful stuff but really easy to understand too.👌

Great knowledge here! I love how you're pushing for more SEN 4 because I'm always teaching other Lars players to utilize it more. Apparently anyone who labs Lars learns to interrupt him whenever he transitions to SEN on block so SEN 4 is always a great knowledge check and can actually completely break your opponent from using his Lars knowledge on you.
I want to spar with you one day! Lars mirror matches 🙂

Thank you for the video. New to tekken & watching you play Lars helped decide on picking him as a main. I always wondered why you do those "dance moves" in the neutral & now it all makes sense. They don't know when the actual attack is the gonna come & at the same time, you are studying your opponent's tendencies when you retreat back or when you slightly move forward. Easier said than done of course. The way you also transition from stance to a while rising attack is so smooth as if you are canceling the limited entry? I seem to struggle with that because the stance follow ups can be very delayed & sometimes I accidentally get them instead of ws2⬇️

People don’t understand that ALMOST EVERY stance move is a counter to something specific. You have to use almost every option out of each stance to counter ducks, SSes, turtling, mashing, wrong getups, etc.
When your opponent does this in your stance, you should use one move. If your opponent does something else, you use another move. If you want to frame trap, use something else. If they are blocking heavily (turtling), use a stance low or a DEN\WR throw. You HAVE TO WATCH YOUR OPPONENT TO SEE WHAT THEY DO, AND REACT ACCORDINGLY. Somr shit you have to watch for to see what they are willing to commit to do first, before you select your stance move. If you see that they are trying to go right when you go into stance, SEN 4 (anti-ss). If they swing on your stances, use SEN 4 for that too. If they duck, or you trained them to duck with SEN 2 or DEN 3+4, then switch to using DEN 2, DEN 1, DEN 1~2, etc. To wall carry, use SEN 1. Frame trap with + on block DEN 1. Need to step on block? Use SEN 3+4 or Den 1. To put someone one the wall during a juggle conversion?, use SEN 1+2.
I also do the same punishment training too, and it works instantly. I also keep a vs. notebook to write down all my opponent’s characters key moves and strategies to beat them with. I actually need to do this today. Nikos is right 100%.

I been playing/practicing lars since ttt2, and honestly, I do not agree that lars is stance and mix only. I think pressure from the stances is great mix, but I always say hes a counter character. Idc what anyone say. Sidestep(SS) ark blast is still the best whiff punish imo.
