Why do you keep casting your lures on the concrete? If you don't break em, your at minimum tearing up your hooks. You'll then be wondering why that bass got off even after a hard hookset.

I spent hours and hours a day casting to a 5 gallon bucket, learning that reel. I put that bucket in the landscaping that went around our house to simulate overhanging branches and casting to pockets in cover. I went to my Grandparents house in Arkansas and a guy at their church invited me out on his Ranger boat. He went on about me putting on a casting school. By the end of that trip I thought my head was gonna pop, he had talked it up so much. 🤣 It really set a precident in my mind about learning techniques for fishing. In hindsight, that bucket practice was pivotal in how I fish today.
I thought curado’s were great too till I bought a Daiwa Zillion and it opened my eyes to how I’ve been spending my money all wrong. $300-350 should be the minimum I spend on a new reel. Everything below that is a guaranteed disappointment.
