I just read the book written by the defence's medical expert in Dr Nick's criminal trial, he had all his medical records from 1967 on. It seems Elvis was living with an extremely rare condition that caused multi body system failure, not much was known about it at the time and he was in extreme pain. Interesting book that has made me look at Dr Nick differently, as well as EP's own prescription use. I was sad to learn all he endured and I don't blame him for medicating. It's more a testament to how strong he was to keep going as long as he did. The book is called The Strange Medical Saga of Elvis Presley if you're interested Keesay.

I highly encourage you to react to: Elvis: Destined to Die Young -- Sally A. Hoedel (6:10). This author did extensive research on Elvis' health issues and includes 32 pages of references in her book. There are so many interviews available with and about Elvis. You have so much to discover! Here are a couple to help you along your journey: Myrna Smith remembers Elvis Presley Part 1 (2:36) and Bruno Kirby Story: 'The Magic of Elvis Presley' (4:32).

I love that you're delving into Elvis' life as a person. I feel his life story is as unique and fascinating as his music and talent. Charlie was a guy that Elvis served with in the Army. He was the one who put the scarves on him on-stage and also played guitar and sang harmony with Elvis. I've heard the bone cancer story wasn't true but was planted by Dr. Nick and Elvis' father to people close to Elvis to try to weed out who was leaking private information to the press.

Elvis may had the early stages of bone cancer which is very painful, but he didn’t die of cancer. He died of overdose and over abuse of narcotics which made him gain weight, stressing and damaging his already weak heart muscles . He died of a heart attack. Btw, his weight gain at the end was the result of narcotic pain killers that he took, possibly for his bone pain, making him extremely extremely constipated. All narcotics temporarily paralyze your gut!

Thank you for diving into ELVIS you are so respectful I'm glad you're understanding that Elvis was a great human being not get the talents and not just a star but he truly changed the lives of so many you really ought to react to the story of the little girl that was blind and Elvis paid for her to have surgery and gave her mom and dad $50,000 I think there's a video of it or Sonny West tells a story about a woman that has no legs Elvis read about it and personally went and bought the most expensive power chair back in them days personally took it over to her and gave it to her and she didn't even know who he was and Sonny told Elvis man I don't think she knew who you were and he said it doesn't matter at least she knows someone cares there are hundreds of these stories he didn't seek press off of them he just did it out of the kindness of his heart by the way I am a new subscriber please keep reacting to Elvis

The Shroud refers to the covering that was supposedly covering Christ when he died and before he was resurrected. And it is kept in Italy and considered one of the most holy relics for Christians.

Thank you sweetheart for reacting to Charlie Hodges interview, he was part of the Memphis Mafia, and was one of Elvis closest friends. I've watched this before, so sad and beautiful at the same time, Elvis was one of a kind untouchable to this day and that will never happen. He had many Gospel albums and won 3 Grammys for them. He died at the age of 42 and his mom was 46 when she died and the day she died took a big part of Elvis to life. She was his life, and it broke him when she passed. Thank you TCb 1935 🤺🤺🤺⚡⚡⚡⚡🙏🙏🙏🙏👑👑👑👑

Read Charlie Hodges book also it's a small little book but it's enjoyable alburnett and what one Elvis over was Charlie Hodges heart he befriended Elvis while Elvis was grieving for his mother and he can feel Charlie Hodges compassion and how Charlie Hodge tried to get him to laugh and he knew the Charlie Hodge was trying to cheer him up after listening to him and entrusted him from then on and then they became best friends and so he always had a room with Charlie Hodge and Graceland or wherever they went and I believe he was like Elvis Presley's right-hand man shows where you could Google and he goes onstage and answers qna about Elvis life with him with an audience

It seems that the Smith side (Elvis’ mother’s side if the family) had a genetic disposition to addiction. Elvis was clearly growing more and more dependent on uppers, downers and very strong painkillers. It is no doubt that, while drugs may not have killed him, they definitely impacted Elvis’ health and stamina in those last few years.

He was too tired too..packed so much into 42 shirt years. Btw .. only thing Charlie said which was strange. He said he travelled all over the world w Elvis. The thing is other than Germany in army and shirt trip to Paris from Germany the only place outside of US was in a few concerts in Canada. Colonel never allowed totes outside US cos colonel it turns out wasn’t a US citizen.. wasn’t even a colonel. He made all kinds of excuses for not booking outside US. Yet inspire of all that he actually sold more records abroad. He wasThe new movie alludes to the colonel issues. Ironically now there are virtual Elvis concerts all over the world . They just have huge screen and play his shows and people still react like he’s still there on stage. Bizarre . And it’s 50 odd years after death. In a way Elvis will be touring forever.

But, he had to lead everyone.
    He went broke.
    ELVIS just gave up.

    Elvis had no siblings.
