A minor thing to say about fighting against Data YX; Make sure you use the Keyblade that you obtained on the Toy Story world(Sorry,I forgot its name)so that you can troll him by making him remember that time where he got roasted by a *toy* (Woody)
Is it really a roast when YX really didn't seem to care, only caring that Buzz, a toy, could have a heart, knowledge that could somehow help with the Organization's plan? Also, Data YX may not have been roasted by Woody, as his eyes are silver like in the Re:Mind flashback with Master of Masters, indicating this version of YX is the real one (young version of MX, not his young self brought forward in time by time travel BS) or a mix of the two since he still uses the altered form of No Name/MX's keyblade. Also, yes, YX uses MX's keyblade with a different keychain, not the extra keyblade you get from Mysterious Figure.
Young Xehanort’s data stats (rough estimation based on testing) HP: 2600 (13 bars) Strength: 107 Defense: 59 Elemental resistance: 1.0 physical, 0.5 for blizzard, fire, water, thunder, aero, 0.85 neutral(light), 0.85 dark. Stagger endurance: 0, 5-10 when using certain attacks Revenge Value: 7 Attraction magnification: N/A Damage Limit: 24 These are unofficial unless a Re:mind Ultimania gets released BTW.
This is honestly my most awaited breakdown for you to cover, since YX’s DM armor bar is so easy to destroy, I was always curious to see what happens when you let him go off.
Not at all. I had guessed time would rewind if the clock reaches 12 i looked for other videos to confirm my theory and couldn't find one... Until today. Thanks a lotttt for the details
Bio-Roxas I glad you were detailed as well. Like A guy said it’s easy to knock him out of him dm, and I didn’t know he’ll keeping healing himself if you don’t.
Honestly recommend players do this first out of all the other fights. It perfectly sets up the difficulty of the bosses in general, and is a focused enough but not too hectic fight to get you into them. It ends up being one of the easier bosses of the 13, but it's a solid starter for anyone unsure of who to take on first.
@@Drojanx In BBS he's got his hood up, he's focused, ready for business. In DDD and KH3 he's too busy being a smug little shit of a nort to focus on being blisteringly difficult. It's the price he pays for calling you a bitch every 20 seconds.
Wow this is the only guide on Data Young Xehanort that has the DM fully reviewed, I honestly thought he went Invisible like he did in BBS Imagine if he Formchanged his Keyblade into the Ethereal Blades he had in BBS doing those Combos, the X wave, Spear Orbs and Collusion Magnet, using the Magic he did(Raging Storm, Whirlwind, Mega Flare, Meteor, and Doom)
Really love this fight with FANTASTIC MUSIC, this is prolly yhe best fight to start off with too imo because it teaches how to block and dodge correctly. I also like how u can see the evolution of attacks, during his spinning attacks it looks like something Ansem would adapt into his own moveset. And of course great work on the breakdown
Now THIS makes sense. He is YOUNG Xehanort. He's not supposed to be stupidly, game-breakingly difficult like in the other games. In fact, I'd argue that since he has the least amount of combat experience compared to the other members, he should be the easiest to defeat. Yet, he's certainly no Dark Inferno in terms of difficulty. While he is likely the easiest to defeat, he deserves his ranks in the organization because he does pack some heat and defeating him does require some care. A worthy number 13.
The power of Time manipulation!, his counter barrier that he uses to heal/the multi clone strikes and key forms could be a reference to MF in BBS, and the DM is a reference to DDD but nonetheless it's a rlly gud fight and enjoyed the breakdown
As an addendum if you counter slash him during either of his DMs while he is in the air it instantly breaks the armor. Also if you are untargetable when he starts his dm (shotlock, finish command etc) you can see a cool zoom in cinematic that is otherwise unseen.
@@BioRoxas yeah, it's weird that they made it so easy to break but it does have to be timed to when he is "staggerable" which basically just means not in the middle of his green flip attacks.
2:33 Dawg! Thank you! I thought I was crazy thinking it was an opening it only worked for me once so I was confused why it was only sometimes an opening.
This is the only super boss in the game that can regenerate health. In BBS he can also heal when he guards. Dream drop distance he stops time before he is defeated to rewind time and heal himself. Just a interesting tidbit.
I love Young Xehanort so much, his ordeal with time control and rrgenning his own health is amazing, plus, L'Impeto Oscuro is without a doubt a doubt my favorite theme in KH3
I honestly wish that he had a third Phase where he just goes aost full on mysterious figure on you, going invisible with his daul weild etherial blades and unleashing his attacks from BBS, Though, likely at a more fairer rate
Who would have thought that one of the most (if not the most) broken bosses in the series would become one the easiest Data Battles in the game (alongside Luxord and Larxene).
Luxord is quite hard if you only try to brute force him, Larxene I didn't have the opportunity to fight her, since I was sharing the save with my sister and she managed to take her down, before I have the chance to do so, and we just wanted, by the time, go as fast as possible to fight yozora and see the ending, maybe when I have time I will revisit them
I still love young xehanort’s keyblade more than master xehanort’s it’s a bit of a shame we didn’t get those keyblades after beating these data fights but oh well XD
When Young Xehanort is doing the homing blizzard attack you can air step to him when he activates his shield you want to attack one time and then rising spiral him and wait a second then block to a counter attack onto him
Its Nice to finally be able to watch another one of your breakdown. Got the dlc since day 1, but didnt had the time to finish, so im dodging the gameplay stuff so i can try for myself (lvl 68 crit). Im recording the kills Just for fun. I hope to finish soon so i can go back and watch the breakdowns that i lost. KEEP IT UP
Definitely the easiest data boss for block heavy players, but probably the hardest for dodge heavy players. Aside from Xion, he also has the best theme
I'm very slow but this video helped me realise that ymx uses a lot of ice magic bc he can freeze time lol. On a somewhat related note, vanitas uses a lot of fire and ice magic probably bc the burning/freezing effect is amplified by wind
I think I understand why YX fights different compared to BBS and KH3. In BBS, the “Mysterious Figure” has many OP commands . In 3D, YX was controlled by his old self in his fight with Riku. MX forgoes the OP command deck and instead uses his younger self’s actual keyblade skills back then. MX was probably arrogant to not use deck commands and believed that his own skills are superior to Riku’s. When Riku forced Xehanort to use his Time Stop move, he was already too damaged to use most of his deck commands to win and could only use a few. After returning to to the past, YX probably forgot his BBS moveset due to time travel. By the time YX had to time travel a second time and into a replica vessel, his own Keyblade skills were somewhat refined from last time. I know it’s a long shot but what’s your in-universe reason?
Marco A It would be interesting that Young Xehanort’s visit to the future in BBS was his final trip (timeline wise it is his first but for him it’s his last) which would explain why he is bulkier, it’s him at a later stage in his life. (Putting aside the fact it is mere data recycling).
bobo577 I would think that YX’s BBS moveset isn’t really his own skills. He might’ve picked those Commands during his time travel and was forced to relinquished them after returning to his own time in 3D. YX’s official boss fights in DDD and 3 showcases his actual skills as a keyblade wielder. I like to point out the differences in his difficulty. In 3D, YX was controlled by his future self who is restricted by his past self’s power level but make up with his own experience which made DDD YX difficult. But KH3 YX was fighting on his very own and was still inexperienced which made him a bit easier to take down in his data battle compared to the others in Limit Cut.
Strange how YX’s Keyblade has no name. No seriously, it’s literally called “No Name” You can actually obtain that Keyblade in KH: BBS with the secret Dark Impetus (Mysterious Figure) Boss battle, but it has a different design to it. It has very long reach, provides an outstanding boost in magic, and makes it easier to land critical hits.
Young Xehanort really is that teenager who watches too much anime and copy all of the special moves
