Because the Emergency Stop PB is normally close... So it must be normally open at the diagram as well as in the PLC program... And it is also safe to use NC contact for Emergency Stop PB... Hope you get the point...

now if there's password and you don't know or forgot the password, The only way to access the PLC is to manually input 5 times the wrong password with the on-board display. After this you will be asked if you want to delete the program(which will remove the password too).
