such a beautiful guitar. Over the past 40 years I have played just about everything, especially Custom shop Fender and Gibson. PRS is a recent thing for me Cu.24, McCarty, DGT, but this guitar beats them all. it is also the first PRS where the single coil (mode) really sounds like a bell and is usefull..absolute my nr. one guitar to play
So do you feel you get close to a strat neck single coil sound with this? Also how is the volume drop between humbucker and single could sounds? Cheers.
Never seen a guitar so excellently blend a single coil and humbucker sound together to the point where I can’t tell if it’s a single coil or humbucker . Sounds like both somehow
Nice demo. It sounds great but 17 different sounds? That’s about 12 too many, my brain couldn’t handle it. Luckily my wallet can’t handle it either so no need to worry!
Folks always present this kind of switching in an 'its complicated' kind of way, really its just an expensive LP and an expensive Strat all in one, with some added expensiveness :)
I want it, in Emerald flame, but in reality I only ever use two sounds - Bridge HB and neck single-coil, which I already get from my PRS SC 594. If I had a sig guitar it would be so boring - a volume knob, a two-way micro switch between the HB and the single in the neck. That's it 😂
Very nice but of course no lefty version. All we have is the same SE Custom 24 but in lots of different finishes. Paul just hates us. And I hate seeing all the lovely different affordable models we cant have.
@@SpookyApparition normally the pots on your guitar are rated 250k for single coil pups, and 500k for humbuckers. Basically the added resistance cuts out some of the really harsh high frequencies. For instance, if you wired your pickup straight to your output jack it would sound awful. The 250k/500k mini toggle on the previous Wood Library Modern Eagle models basically gives you a little control over how much of your guitar signal is being sent to ground before being sent to the output jack.
Less 'something for everyone' than 'everything for someone' I'd say. Lots of 'typical' and 'close' tones, but none that really hit the mark for me. I think this will appeal to the well-healed pro player that has to cover a lot of ground with just one guitar.
I just can’t get on board with PRS….. it’s a shame too, because I have absolute respect for the build and the credentials. But 2 or 3 GREAT sounds is surely all you need from 1 guitar. I can’t help but feel option paralysis with a guitar like this. Maybe I’m just old fashioned 🤣
We dadrockers definitely need this expensive 17 sounds capable axe to play our blues rock explosions.
Well said!
Yes we do, working all these years now we can get a gift for ourselves
Only the finest ax for minor pentatonic riffs!

There's the PRS magic right there, beauty, off the wall, at the high end of creativity, that any one can aspire to thanks to PRS
Incredible absolutely amazing guitar from PRS

An SE version of this in a tobacco burst colour with the same tone control options would be my perfect guitar.
Wait they probably will.

It sounds expensive!
A little over 5k
my brain can and I love it..
I updated my SE 24 with Sinclair Duncan Phat Cat pickups. Jobs a good 'un.
My biggest PRS bugbear of recent years is the the fact the Special Semi Hollowbody has neck that it does. Why not make models with a variety of necks?
Still waiting for SE version

The wood library ones have a 250k/500k mini toggle too lol
what does that mean?
@@SpookyApparition A switch to change the resistance that is normally tied to the potentiometers
@@xF1revolution what does that do, practically speaking? (Sorry for the dumb questions)

But does it Djentist?
Why would you get it in black 💀💀💀💀💀

I'd be the same! I like PRS but I'd rather have a McCarty than this for that reason
The black only body is not the best you can have for a 5000 dollars guitar ! At this price might as well buy more beautiful colors
No point using expensive wood with such compressed sounding pick ups.
Sweet but I'll take the studio. I always feel like Vox isnt the best choice for a demo. All I hear is Vox.
