I watched a couple other switch instructional vids and thought "ok I could try that" and in the first 30 seconds of this vid is was like "I could never" 😂
@@StompItTutorialsthank you for all the great tutorials..plz help me for learning this switch skill..I have a hard time not able to find my COM balance after switching…how to distribute the uphill/downhill skis pressure?..is it similar to normal skiing with most of pressure apply to the downhill skis(the side that I head/hip rotate to)? I’d really appreciate if u would help coz there’s no other instructional videos have explained🙏🙏🙏🤟
I've been turning in Switch w/o turning my head, not near as fast as yourself! The Switch carve J-turn is new, I can't wait to try that, I think that'll really help me improve my speed & turning in Switch. Thank you!
Just came back to this video after trying to ski switch for the first time today. I definitely was making some of those mistakes you pointed out. Thanks!
The vid i've been waiting for! I've only ever learned to look over one side, but would love it if i can look both ways. Major tip for mee was to stand tall!
Hey, I'm a proficient backwards skier (parallel turns at high speed) but only when looking over alternative shoulders. But I really struggle to just look over just 1 shoulder as I can't scissor my skies how I would normally for both turns. Any tips on how to get my body in the right position for turning when only looking over 1 shoulder?
Great video, I just have a quick question: I recently got the atomic bent 100 skis however I mounted them at factory recommendation, will I still be able to ski switch and do most park tricks decently?
Yes, especially for beginner switch skiing, you’ll be fine. Skiing switch is easier (esp. higher speed) with a freestyle mount but as long as you’re doing it right you’re going to be okay. Edit: powder will definitely be harder as well, but on-piste/groomers, my point stands
Nice video, a really love it. One question, how you record them, do you have a behide the scene video? Who is the videographer and the producer? Thak you 🤟🏻
Really cool video, im curious though what is the proper tehnique to actually jump into switch carving from standard carving. Is it a normal ollie 180? Looks kinda scary to just randomly jump at those speeds yet you do it effortlessly.
Quick question here: I dont have twin tipped skies, but the back also isn't flat it's kinda half curved (head core 105s). I can ski backwards at medium speed but I do lean forward a lot because I'm scared of catching an edge. My question is, is it necessary to have twin tips? should I be as worried about leaning forward or should I be fine?
Can you please make a video with explanations how to do switch 180 on relatively flat slope? I always catch tails when try to do it. At the same time just 180 (front) are no problem on slope with any steepness.

I’m absolutely amazed by the flawlessness of your switches during the first 30 seconds ! Damn, it feels so smooth, I watched it like 5 times in a row
Yum, Im rather pleased with it too. But I feel like I gotta re-shot something like that on my slalom skis and carve harder.
Agreed!
It’s literally amazing! It looked like it was in some kind of movie
Yay! What a cool video. And you managed to drag Vincent in front of the camera! That made it even better! Miss you guys!
Haha I lured him in with some more advanced tricks to film 😜

You should!

Glad it helped. Have fun learning to look over the other shoulder. It was frustrating for me to learn.
This looks so fun! I’m trying this out today
Enjoy and be patient
Love these vids.
Great stuff. I've been working on my switch.
And, how is it going? Can you skidded paralell or already carve?
I learned to do this with no vid just seen a dude doing it one day and I started to learn now watching this im glad I did the right steps without help
You are amazing. Thank you 🤘🤘
Thank You! Definitely going to try this....
Have fun and be patient it takes a while to get used to it.
Thanks for the amazing Videos, gotta try this out next week
Your welcome! Have fun and good luck learning
Yooo! Love the videos, man!
Thank you!
AWESOME as usual. classy
Wow, thank you!
I mustache you a question. Just kidding, thanks for your tips. We do like your mustache though, makes you look like a real Dad.
I rocked the stash in the winter for years and since I became a dad 11 months ago I find it gotten better.
🔥 Thx man! 🙏🏻
No problem!
I want to ski like you, I skied for two seasons and can only do 180s, I’m 15 so I think I will catch up, eventually
Hotdog Hans was doing this years ago. 😂😘
Indeed

I was working on this today and its really important to still try to rotate your hips, its hard when your head is pointing the other way

Nice 👍, curious that which skis you are using in this video?

You gotta be super comfortable at skiing switch and also 180s, and it all comes with time and gradually increasing the speeds
Agreed. Start popping or ollie 180 at super slow speed and do it from skidded turns to switch skidded turns.
I get that this is better with twin tip skis, but can I also learn on normal skis?
You prolly can on a fresh groomed slope but once there are even a lil bit of unevenness it might become dangerous
Yes normal piste skis are fine. They got a tiny tail too which is enough for piste skiing switch.
god damn he looks cool
What ski do you use and what lengh are they. I'm between 2 and I wonder if the shorter is too short.
What skis and bindings are you on?

Your tiny tail is enough on piste. In powder it will be a problem.
Can I ski switch even if I don't have a pair of double tip skis?
NICE switch skiing! Are those boots the atomic hawx? If so, xtd version or standard?
Can you do this without skis without two tips
Where is this place🤩🤩?
is it more difficult to learn to ski switch on wide freeride skis?
Ignore that and go for it. It makes a tiny difference what gear your on.
How much easier ski switch really is on twin tips?
When i try carving i can only carve going one way and its a weak carve and when i dont carve i sometimes get a ski loose and it starts wobbling
Why is no one else there, on a beautiful blue bird day with gripable corduroy??
Mid December before school holidays
Which skis are you using in this vid?
Atomic Bent 90
Thanks! Love your vids. I'm saving up for one of your camps! Hopefully you'll be doing this in 2025 and beyond!
