Thanks! Yeah. More excursions would be nice. Rumor has it Amtraks trying to run a train from Steamtown to NY. I owe this video to my sister though because she was the one driving that day.
To paraphrase, "I love the smell of burning brakes in the morning". Lube oil from those friction bearings leaks onto the brakes and watch out when coming down a hill or mountain. Same thing happens when Steamtown's cars come down from the Poconos and into Scranton.
@@trezjr73 If you’re talking about the last crossing in the clip it’s located behind the White Haven Diner. There’s a little trail that goes up to the road on top of the hill.
Now all we ever want is the future R&N excursions from North Reading to Pittston, Vosburg, Taylor Yard and Moosic. Great catches btw!

@@Northeast_PA_Trucks_And_Trains I've heard it too. If Amtrak shares passenger rail service with both Steamtown and R&N, that would be awesome!
@@brianfalzon6739 Yeah. It’d be nice. Even if with the stations now on the R&N it’d be nice if Amtrak ran from Allentown to NY.
@@Northeast_PA_Trucks_And_Trains that's what I heard.
Great catches and awesome video
Thank You!
You're welcome

Yes I actually don’t mind the smell of burning brakes one bit. His brakes weren’t just smoking. They were actually on fire.
I can see that! What's the story on the petite sidewalk crossing gate; any idea?

Neat!
Looks like that was an FP9
