Rip doll chambers what a women !! And to anyone watching this who isn’t from the uk For her to adopt a black baby at that time in London Wow (She was now going on to battle for me) I hope she knows how much she is loved and appreciated God bless her beautiful soul
Brilliant,i havent seen this movie in years. One of the better films about casuals. The Soundtrack is superb also Bands like Australian punk band The Saints and The Jam are very reflective of the times.
It’s not really tbh! From someone who was involved in the scene football factory and the (new) Firm where the only ones that got close to it. Ok this is biography or Cass life it is pretty spot on in terms of getting it spot on about his life.
Looks like his dad wanted nothing more than to just hug his boy all the time but unfortunately wasn't sure or knew how to show him the love he had for him and the real Cass who obviously had all the say In how this film went really tried to show everyone that his adoptive dad was a good man who did love his son regardless of were he originally came from... That man loved Cass by the way the real Cass tried to show us.... Great film
My nan married a black man in 1950s east London she died in 2019 god bless her this is too the courageous women who ignored race hate in harsh times in London for black people
Yea, respect to the lady who raised Cass. In them days, Racism was rife until the mid 90s when they tightened the law and punished people for such offences. Remember Stephen Lawrence RIP
Hi. The same actor plays a plane crash survivor in 'The Grey' where they're pursued by wolves. Also starring Liam Neeson. If you're yet to see it, it's pretty good 😊
One of the best films I’ve seen in Ages, Tyvm. 15/10 I LO💛E this channel! One of Britain’s finest, everything about it is superb, gotta say the soundtrack is one of the best I’ve ever heard in my 40 something years.
Thanks for uploading this film. Met Cass few years back. Great bloke, his stories of clashes with other firms, nf, growing up, meeting his good friend Frank Bruno. All he went through at a very tough time.

I have to say Cass adoptive parents were 2 of the most amazing wonderful people this planets ever seen never did nothing but right by him and never treated him in any bad way shape or form ever even after he went to prison. Outstanding pure gems of society ❤
Good old days when men use to be free to talk wolk and act like men And feel free to talk how ever they wanted Now days you can't even speak your mind just in case somebody gets offended...
this movie is really amazing and I will happily watch it again. when I have mates around. one big point, Mohammad Ali never liked to be Cassius Clay. that was his slave name and he changed it to Mohammad Ali the legend, the GOAT, but again, great movie
I remember being a bit knocked sideways when I watched the film. What he and his adoptive parents and his wife went through, while all the time he refused to hate whites. That showed a lot of character.
Absolutely buzzing with this film.Cass reminds me of my old mate Chalky from middle school. He was the only black kid in school but he was one of us. It doesn't seem to be like that these days unfortunately.
Iv watched all the football casual films green Street Awaydays etc but this I hadn't saw until tonight 21st February 2024 and yeah it were a great movie only thing it never had tho was a soundtrack it really stayed on top of what the football hooligin life was realy like & yeah I enjoyed it 💯%
Brilliant film, but so sad. Women/couples adopting children back then, got lambasted because they loved the children they adopted at that time. They didn’t see race, they saw children, that needed a home. ❤
It’s because one they were board and two. It’s existed ever since the tudors in England other towns and villages would fight each other in a game of football. The gate to each village or city would be the goal.

Massive massive respect to the lady and man who raised cass in such harsh times for our brothers of colour 🙏🏻👌🏻
It wasn't like that everywhere. I'm a bit sick and tired of Britain being portrayed as a backwards racist place when it wasnt.

Great film. Loved Cass and Frank being in the closing scene ❤️❤️
Frank Bruno?
Not in many movies, but hearing Ride on a soundtrack just makes it so much better.
Nonso Anozie is an incredible actor.
He played Cass superbly. He sounds just like him and has the mannerisms too.
Brilliant acting.
He is! My name is Shaun Stone, I've met him, and I was in a UK Feature Film that was BAFTA nominated in 2022. ALL performances in this are IMMENSE.💥💥

My friend told me about this film! Brilliant 👏
So many good bits cut out of this version
They cut out the part where Cass was doing a ventriloquist show and his dummy was throwing piñatas and sherbet lollipops to the audience 🎈🧑🏻🦰🧎🏿♂️

He could hardly hate white people - his parents (albeit adoptive) were and his 2 best mates. He knew there were good and bad in everyone.
