- เผยแพร่เมื่อ 28 ก.ย. 2024
- Welcome back to another episode of The Criminal Connection Podcast with your host, The Podfather, Terry Stone! This is the very first time this man has ever spoken on a podcast, introducing Tony Tucker's right hand man, Lee Chapman.
The uncensored version of this podcast is available on all major podcast platforms!
For the very first time, Lee will share his incredible stories and experiences in a heart-pounding episode that you won't want to miss.
With an astounding 40 years of experience on the doors, Lee Chapman takes us back to the gritty streets of the 1990s, where he stood side by side with Tony Tucker.
Lee's journey is nothing short of extraordinary - from knocking out the legendary Roy "Pretty Boy" Shaw, to facing off against the notorious Lenny McLean. But that's not all; Lee's life reads like a thrilling crime novel, having survived being shot, stabbed, slashed, and even petrol bombed throughout his relentless career.
Sit back and enjoy the show.

“He was a Chippy!” - Shows video of frying chips 😂 He was a Carpenter lads.
was looking for this, lol.
Looking for this comment 😂HAH!
Mr too! 😅
😂
I was just about to write the same thing bud about the Chippy.
Lee comes across as a proper gent. Fair play to him. The second he was hesitant to swear in front of people says he is good.
Proper legend mate. Thanks for tuning in.
What … !!!!! Drink lots of water … saying
@@CriminalConnectionPodcastenjoyed this mate
I think he’s cool but don’t be fooled by how people talk, prince andrew wouldn’t swear and he is not good
Maybe his Wife slaps him when he swears!
I’m waiting for the “Pat Tate, The primary school years” Film.
Its coming
@@terrystone743 We know…
😂
Played by same actors in their 90s😂😂😂
Starring Craig Fairbrass! 😂😂😂 (Craig is a great actor though tbf)
That was bloody brilliant what a nice change to hear a man who isn't bragging about what he's done and isn't swearing every other word. Definitely doesn't look 60 so he's doing something right. ❤
Thank you I was asked to do a lot of podcasts over the years, but my great friend Mick, Kelly and My Boy told me to do it was not my thing my Boy died on the 5th off October, so I did it so they’ve asked me to do another one in January Thanks again
@@leechapman9986sorry to swing in on someone elses conversation, but your a breath of fresh air, lighthearted , honest and not glorifying violence nor making out your a hard man , cant wait til January, just a raw honest bloke 👌👌👌👌

@@leechapman9986 oh shit I was going to say something stupid then I see u actually replied, but u do seem a nice bloke
Lee is a top guy honestly, worked with him for a while over last few years and watching fresh 18 year olds swear and give him threats has giggling thinking you really dont know who your messing with. really down to earth and could chat to him for hours
Stop it 😂
I’ve really enjoyed this podcast, this guy is one of the hardest men ever and yet he’s so nice. With a mild manner and yet he doesn’t brag, and he’s really humble. I know several different doormen ones even a family member but they brag about so much. This guy is a real gentleman. He’s been with people who have done different things and yet he’s great it’s really refreshing
Appreciate your message and thoughts Jules
Lee chapman is a great friend and he’s a excellent man with great friends and he is a loyal and loving person
Top bloke mate
Top bloke mate
What a superb podcast Terry. Great listening to Lee, seems such a gentle & humble guy who doesn't like swearing, but have to reconcile that with his cracking of Roy Shaw or smashing a guy carrying a huge knife, plus the stabbings, plus the petrol bomb......... Could listen to his stories all day because there's no BS or bravado, just conversation about some quite extraordinary events. You both nailed it on how the soft touch has led to a lack of respect, in fact contempt, for authority that now leads to dangerous encounters.
Best one by far. Really enjoy hearing stories from that 90s era around the Essex boys . The more stories the better!
@@doves9204 don’t think Tucker was a wannabe tough guy mate 😂 he was 6ft2 Roided up drug dealer who had a security firm & would rob other drug dealers. He was also part of Nigel Benn’s security & could look after himself too.
Thanks pal, glad you’re enjoying the content. More to come 🚀
He looks like Nick ‘the Greek’ from lock stock and two smoking barrels
🤣🤣
@@CriminalConnectionPodcast 🤣 I thought it was the actor who’d played Nick the Greek for a minute
😂😂😂😂 sounds like him a bit too!
@@DonKing-xg4kq 🤣👍 exactly!
Hahaha fuckinell he does!!
6:55 im this much in and he seems like an honest bloke , no glorifying the life just telling it how it is and being light hearted , great stuff!
I had the privilege of working on the doors with Lee , genuinely a great human 💪🏿
The best!
My dad crossed paths with him, said the same. Properly decent bloke and hard as they come
Thanks they say u only as good as u friends
As a 56 year old man where can I get a bum lift
It’s true what Lee said about Edwin Starr being such a nice guy, he lived fairly local to us and I delivered some turf to his house with my dad about 30yrs ago. He took my dad off for a tour around his house/castle whilst we unloaded the truck, they then reappeared about 30 mins later both clutching a pint of beer 🍺
Such a gentle giant. I bet his nice nature has seen him underestimated so many times and resorted in someone waking up on the pavement not knowing what happened.
Solid summary that mate 💪
I like this guy, he seems to tell the truth and not lie to make things more interesting. Really enjoyed this one.
thanks Bungle!
The way you conduct these interviews are absolute unreal, please keep doing them because they will only get better, much love from Wales ❤

Yeah, Michael Kelly from Tipperary, Ireland. He was a doorman at Hollywood's and spoke interesting facts about Tucker on Liquid bullet production podcast. Strongly recommen to watch it
He was brilliant 👏
Very humble man and old school ..and gains respect from being respectful to others .. makes a big change
A true and proper gentleman that’s very humble, hell of a man mountain but seems to have a heart of gold… not many like this about anymore
I came across this and thought god this “Essex boys” has been done to death !! I’ll give it 5 minutes and was hooked for an hour and 44 minutes! Very interesting and entertaining all the way through, look forward to the next podcast 👍
Amazing mate, thanks so much that’s great feedback 💪
Pardon the pun
Im Ipswich born and Ipswich bread - Strong in the arm and thick in the head 😂. Moved out to Romford funnily enough. The shooting at Zest, formerly Hollywoods, was in 2006. No one was ever charged for the murder. My mate was working on the cloakrooms that night. A lot of murders in my little town, it's had more than it's fair share of problems. My advice is don't visit, and if you live there - get out. People dont wanna see you change for the better, just drag you down.
Thanks for sharing your stories Lee, great podcast Terry really enjoy the Range Rover murder mystery - so much to explore.
Nice one Nathan!
A hard man with morals. Really enjoyed this podcast and such a nice fella Lee chapman 👍🏻
Glad you enjoyed mage, new episodes coming every week 💪
What a great interview, grounded fella, not big-headed, could listen to him all night 👍🏻
Brilliant podcast loved listening to Lee such an humble man but I can imagine quite a force too.
Can't wait for next week's pod with bloke who once delivered a Chinese takeaway to Tony Tucker.
Wait until you hear his story its legendary. Tony always loved a Kung Po Prawn
Next week it's pat tates milkman

Seriously I watch podcast.. from mob/ mafia stuff..to boring stuff on Trump...but this is the first and only one that took me the distance...Lee Chapman and the fella conducting the cast..this is.nt a slight at this fella.. he,s brilliant not good with names..they speak in a language of London I understand.. the subject matter i.e..Tony tucker and the other 2..rip(×3 your familiar with the stories/ Truth..about leaj Betts rlp..etc..as it unfolded at the time...places they describe..I.e Hollywood's in Romford.. the best bit is that not so long ago you saw fellas just like these 2..all over London working classes..U knew who was who..not so much now
Lee murrey who got a smack from Tate in 94 or 93 ...lee was just. Litle Mug
Fantastic podcast, so interesting, Lee is obviously a hard man but he also seems mannerly and polite, greetings from Donegal!
Gentle giant but not to be messed with 💪 thanks for tuning in Danny 🚀
Big Lee is great at retelling his stories, could have listened to even more of them, do a part two please in the future.

I worked with Lee for the kartouche times. Good Times. Top man. Was always amusing as I was the smallest doorman there esp next to Lee.
Respect to lee worked with him at hollywoods ipswich and trained with him and other doorman at the gym they trained at in ipswich always a gent and full of good advice
Big Lee, my old boss back in the Ipswich and Southend days. One of the best to ever do it and a genuine top man with an epic sense of humour. Great to see him looking like a monster still at 60 years old. Hope you are well Big Man x
Love that mate. Thanks for tuning in 💪
I ain't shaking your hand dunno who you are" would be been a great line for the film.
I remember a young man producing a knife in the Crazy Daisy nightclub in Sheffield late 1970s. He wasn’t threatening just showing me what he had in case of trouble. Shocked me.
Drinking, drugs and gambling is what brings people together a lot of the time and it makes you think at the time that you have made a friend or friends and just clicked, but unfortunately as you get older and wiser you realise they are just associates, because a actual friend and you will be lucky if you have one will go out of there way to be there for you when you need to actually be heard and not just around when there is money, drinking, drugs and gambling going on, you then realise that actually the only people who actually matter in your life is your mom, dad, siblings, girlfriend or wife and your kids, another words your family and then if your lucky an actual friend other than that no one else matters in your life and i don't mean be disrespectful to other people of course not but you will all know what i mean if you are at this stage in life, peace out people
Lot of respect for Lee, met him a cpl of times, real gent with lots of respect for others.
Lee seems like a good old school Hardman, don’t act up and you don’t get hurt
Good to see Lee sharing his memory's with us.
I mentioned on another You Tube channel recently how Pat Tate tried to put it on me at Jim Connor's Progress House gym. I was lucky he didn't do me lol.
What made him stick it on you mate? Also, thanks for watching!
@@CriminalConnectionPodcast
Hi Terry. As Lee said, when Tate was training he thought he was the only one in the gym. I was doing triceps & biceps, Tate came over and told me to get out the way. I looked at him and carried on. Thankfully I was training with a local well known bodybuilder and he told Pat to leave me alone. Pat walked away swearing & cursing and started throwing weights around. I did my workout, as I was getting changed after showering he came over and started chatting. Luckily I knew TT so it saved me LOL.
I've only just found+subbed to the channel yesterday, and I've already watched 3 episodes since yesterday! Such a fantastic podcast. I've really enjoyed listening to the 2 podcast episodes with Lee, such a legend. He's such a fantastic character, made me laugh so many times 😂 and also cry listening to him speak about his son at the end of the 2nd one. I hope he does write a book, that'll be such a good read
Steve firstly thanks for subscribing your a legend and secondly thanks for your feedback we appreciate it

Nothing to do with Tucker.🤫
But clickbait is his game.🤭
This guy is the worst sort of bully doorman.
He thinks it's okay to maim people.
But he will ring the police for the slightest thing.
Embarrassing.🥴
"If they say that I'm a Racist I just say to 'em that my Boyfriend is Black. That way is covers all aspects" 😎👊🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 Quality
I worked at a supermarket and a colleague was in with her fella paying for her shopping, she was a beautiful big black lady. The couple I was serving looked at them and said to me "How could anyone take that home to meet their Mum n Dad?" I replied "My boyfriend is black and my Mum loves him." They shut right up after that, my Mrs was there, she pissed herself. Great podcast Terry 👊❤️
Keeping the peace in clubs during the late 80s & 90s was no joke' still is, these fellas could make the difference between walking home or' not! Respect is due to the old school door men. Fantastic period in time tho....
Great times Dom
