Just curious, what is the advantage of having a person be the hostage over, let's say, D's body pillow. Having the hostage as an inanimate object would allow for another person to even the teams and the hostage could be shouldered more easily.
They say it real quick at the start of this series of videos; the defending team has an innate advantage in that they can hide and set up ambushes, so they give the attacking team another guy. Plus, the hostage being human means they can ideally move him around (but they never do).
The Hostage is intelligent, meaning if commanded to move by the C-T's they can. That and the T's have house advantage, so they know the corners and can get the drop on the CT's.
Pretty much what War and Rocket said. Starting in the house already gives an advantage, and hitting the hostage results in the attackers losing which is easier to call if it's an actual person.
gotta assume the editing style is put those overlays over each bit of footage before cutting them together. Prolly just missed it or had it on the wrong layer in the timeline

Today marks the 74th anniversary of the Polish Warsaw Uprising during WW2, I just experienced the "W - hour" in which the city of Warsaw, paralyzes completely, nobody moves, no cars, nothing. Human can call hits if someone accidentally shoots them while they're the hostage. Have you never accidentally your hostage?
