Dang, I love the remake too but this is one slight change that I preferred in the original. Bongo bongo’s design certainly is an improvement of course but I liked it when his boss room was shrouded in shadows giving the place an endless void feel.
It's a weird design choice with the 3DS remakes: They took a lot of the gloomy lighting out. My best guess is maybe they thought it would be too dark for a handheld.
My theory of bongo bongo is that he is the ghost of one of the main prisoners of hyrule, who was mutilated and executed; hence why his hands and head are separated from its torso
Beat him the other day on the switch, I found it much more difficult than I remember, think it's to do with getting the bow out using the analogue stick and kept accidentally selected another item and having to be so quick caused me issues, that and it's a pretty difficult boss anyway I think. Took me a few goes and got my beat up in the process.

Yea they added Blood and that's it 😊

looks nice, almost like a new release
What's even better is when you have a TV that can fabricate extra frames to make this run at 120hz
He’s actually one of my favorite bosses his mechanics are fun and it’s fun slaying him so easily
I wonder what would happen if you fall off the edge of the stage when facing bong in the original game...
the same, you end up in a poison pool draining your health until you climb back up
The replies above are the reason the Goron Tunic is still useful even outside of superheated areas, because it slows terrain damage heavily.
