Dang, I love the remake too but this is one slight change that I preferred in the original. Bongo bongo’s design certainly is an improvement of course but I liked it when his boss room was shrouded in shadows giving the place an endless void feel.

Beat him the other day on the switch, I found it much more difficult than I remember, think it's to do with getting the bow out using the analogue stick and kept accidentally selected another item and having to be so quick caused me issues, that and it's a pretty difficult boss anyway I think. Took me a few goes and got my beat up in the process.

If this game came out today, the skin would be in a DLC$$$ :/. Good memories, most fun to use Cervantes but to win I'd stick with Nightmare. Soul edge complete or Soul calibur may be his best blades, but I'm partial to Siegfried skin w/ Faust, Glam, or Requiem

I know im a bit late on this but the reason why assassin and berserker dont talk is because they were just generic thug characters you would fight in edge master mode which would kind of make sense since they dont really need to speak They are only playable in the European and American versions od the game so its likely them being added was a last minute edition to those versions
