This is the best video on this grip yet after watching a few! Only just discovering this grip and after watching several videos will defo order one. I have an extension piece anyway as my putter is 33.5 inches and I’m at that awkward 5,11/6ft height and deciding am I more 34 or 35 inches. However you make a great point about the hands not even touching so may go a tad longer. I guess it might feel like a mini armlock with that stability, but without being an armlock, I’ve realised that makes no sense lol. Great work! Cheers from London.
Interested in installing one of these grips. Makes sense to extend the putter shaft length due to hand placement. I normally putt with a 34 and think according to your vid a 35 would be correct? Install that shaft extender before the grip.
Sort of reminds me of the evnroll putter grip. Forgot the name of that model but I want to say they only have 2 different grips. Their regular normal grip and the one I’m talking about that has a metal rod going down on inside of grip.
There’s a few different and new evnroll grips but the one your are referring to is the gravity grip. It’s a similar size, but actually promotes having the thumbs on the top of the grip, and hence doesn’t do a lot to combat face rotation.
Yes you will need to tape up the shaft to make sure it it .600 for the length of the grip. A lot of shafts taper down considerably and therefore need to be built up before installation.
@@goutfromfriedokra7099 I used the grip for about 18 months but I’m currently using a SIK putter with their standard iomic pistol grip. The Kotahi grip taught me a lot about my putting and certainty helped under pressure.
@@SydneyGolfTech Do you think this kotahi grip is better for average putters? Takes out alot of wrists and movement...I'm suffering from consistency and 3 putts...
I would like a video on grip size. I had a feel of an iron with 4 wraps under it and it felt great but I didn’t hit it. Would you keep the 4 wraps into the hybrids and driver etc. Also what about the difference between 4 wraps tapered grip vs parallel grip? Thanks.
Thank you I have one of these putter grips and today I learned how to put my hands on grip correctly
Great explanation and presentation Greg

Thanks very much for watching. Hopefully I have cleared up a few things for you.
Just ordered one of these to be put on a new face-balanced putter. Can't wait to give it a try!
How does that compare to the flat cat grip ?

Yes I believe that going to 35 with a shaft extender would be the best thing to do. ⛳️
@@SydneyGolfTech Thank you.

Good video..When I regrip this kotahi grip do I need to do anything different when regripping? more tape?

@@SydneyGolfTech THANKS.Are u still using the grip, and big difference in putting?

Sounds like there is a video in that.
What’s the difference between the standard and under size grip?
I realise I didn’t say the difference once I watched the video. 😂 Basically, the undersize grip is for ladies, kids or people with quite small hands.
@@SydneyGolfTech so that grip wouldn’t be for me then lol
@@michaelgillies9075 you would definitely need the massive one. 😉
GB - At a putter fitting, would you also look at appropriate grip? or would that be personal preference?
Great question. It’s definitely a consideration in all fits. Personal preference is ok, as long as it’s not causing issues in the stroke and delivery.
I’m guessing this grip won’t work on a pencil grip?
Definitely not. It’s a complete putting system that has its own grip and eliminates unwanted wrist movements.
