Another enjoyable watch, cod are proving to be very elusive so far! I've just finished a 4 hour session in front of rossall school which I caught 3 dabs and 5 whiting, nothing of great size but good sport and a bite almost every chuck. I'll be out again next weekend with bigger tides the darkness so feeling more optimistic. Thanks again Luke. 👍
Thanks mate! yeah I'm really struggling on them atm haha but yeah that sounds like a decent session all the same :) yeah sounds good, heard a few shore fisherman say the same about the growing tides, tight lines mate, appreciate the comment!
I think we have now got to the stage where we now catch them doggies all year round with the exception of if we get a really hard winter they may disappear for a few weeks, back when i started boat fishing off the Fylde coast in the late 70s we hardly caught any back then even in the summer months it was only one or two a trip not one every 5 minuets like it can be sometimes, but back then there was loads of day trawlers off the Fylde and the doggies had a value then as they where sold in chippys as rock salmon,
Ah interesting thanks for the comment mate, yeah I've been out there in the depths of winter and still picked up a few haha, they do seem to thin out a bit once the tope get on the baits though.
Nice video man 🎣😁 always a good watch 👍
Cheers mate! :)
Nice knot there Luke 😉
Hahaha just seen this, yep, now my "use it for literally everything" knot
